I still mix DnB/Jungle on the old 1210's. I made a few tunes a while back, but never got around to finishing anything My most recent tune is more of a UK Garage affair Still has a Dred Bass 'waaaaaaarp' in there though
Keep meaning to get back into it a bit more, so many ideas, so little time
I used to sell tickets for World Dance and the like, so always had VIP entry . . . and lots of friends
Been DJ'ing since '89 and will never give up Never lost my hardcore
specialx - who were you known as then ?

WISTLE POOSE MAKE SOME NOISE!
I'm known as XTC or (XTC Nottingham)
I was very lucky at a young age and got a residency @ amnesia's club rage in Leicester 4 nights a week back in 1991 playing alongside everyone from fabio/grooverider to Derek may, Carl *** etc this led to guest spots at the eclipse (some of the best nights of my life! ) and fantazias massive outdoor events.
I then got a good agent and went off from there djing at most clubs throughout the uk cue club, sanctuary, milwalkies, amazon,NJC,fantasy island, etc for years until I started to produce tunes.
I was ready to release a tune in 95 it was on Greensleeves records a nice Barrington levy jungle remix called "here I come" then I started producing for Djss @ formation records and released the 1st of 3 ep's that did very well on the d&B circuit and with all the big lads Fabio, mickeyfinn playing the **** off it! One of my all time Djing highlights was when Mickyfinn played one of my tunes in a packed warehouse club (sanctuary Milton Keynes) and the place went mad I'll never forget that moment as long as I live!
but yeah I did well out of it for over 9 years and I made some good freinds L double, djss, ltj bukem, roni size (no more name dropping!lol)but the bottom dropped out in 97 and I needed a mortgage! so had to go off to pastures new and take a back seat from the djing but kept my ear to the ground, popping out the odd white lable and co-mixing tunes with other producers,
Today I work with scoobs all day at the office and then straight up to "The attic of power" when I get home for some music mayhem it's in the blood!
so got the usual toys 1210's,pc,sampler,keyboard,desk, etc oh yeah and **** loads of tunes!!
dunk you should finish your stuff it is the hardest thing to do but do it!!!

Paul, may be wrong mate but I think Elysium + is a newer trancey sounding remix, so probably not the one that has been posted on here. Just wait for someone else to confirm this though!

specialx - I know the Barrington Levy tune very well It forms an essential part of my selection.
Sounds like you were in the thick of things. A mate of mine, Pooch, also played alongside the legends you speak of If only I had the bottle to play out Many missed opportunities.
We were more in the south, but I did sell tickets for Quest oop north as well. Will have to pop up some time and have a chat about the good old days. Maybe have a little flex on the decks too . . . if you've still got it that is

Ads - not come across you myself.
I was in Bristol in the golden age. Did you ever know Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Daddy Gee, Krust, Di etc. I used to be pretty good mates with them as I worked as a club promoter during this period.

Ok.
Nick Warren - Cream resident (to this day afaik!!)
Jody - Nick's partner in crime - together record under the name Way Out West
Daddy Gee - Massive Attack
Krust and Di - best known as members of Roni Size Reprazent.
not really happy hardcore though.
Just dug out my DJ Hicksy John Peel (RIP ) session recording from about a year ago. "I'm a raver baby you're a drug addict - just accept it..." superb!
