Mark put me down as a definate now I have got Peanuts and Steve ( Fangoria ) coming along. Steve can I book a place in your passenger seat so I can decide if I need an extra 100 - 150 bhp
I think I need to find a few extra BHP to keep Andy ( Peanuts ) behind me. I'm back off Honeymoon at the end of March so that gives me 3 weeks and no money
Mark can you verify with WRC that we will get print outs to include bhp, torque, boost and lambda readings ( unlike some other rolling road day's ) so that we can fully assertain our results, not just the normal you have ***bhp and torque and it's running rich or dangerously lean, which to be honest isn't much use to anyone other than pub talk.

Will check tomorrow Colin, and confirm the date.
There's nothing I could do about the last RR day wrt print outs, it was out of my hands.
SG - Might want to spell check that one

No probs!! -will find out what I get at G Force this weekend - I'm hoping for over 450bhp with traction this time in 4 th gear (never heard of PE having to run in 5th before cos my 4 wheels just could not get grip in 4th!)
Will be bringing a jack and tool kit with me just in case my APS pipes blows off in the inner wing - it did at PE - thankfully it was just that and not the Turbo!!

Yeah - PE are meant to be reliable - I was not so amused on the day
Especially when Chris at PE (nice chap so no offence meant) your car is really about 415bhp cos our demonstrator Volvo is about 500bhp and your car dont feel as powerful....... so thats why the Iceland sti car with fairly similarish mods to mine got 520bhp/460lbs of Torque (primary difference being race fuel was used) at G Force
Do I sound bitter..........?

It was ref Saturday's rolling road day at PE, I have been there twice now, both times they have given me a print out for bhp and torque, but at what boost I don't know, first time my car was "over fueling", this time it was "running dangerously lean and I shouldn't be driving it" what does that mean with out any definate figures on paper
When I went to G Force before they even put the car on the rollers they checked engine oil level, coolant, made sure everything looked safe, they even checked the tyre pressures before they ran each Scooby When the run had finished everone had a print out of bhp against boost and torque against boost, unfortunatly their wide band lambda was faulty so they couldn't give us a print out for the fueling. With all this information you get a far greater idea what's happening with your engine and how to make improvements for safety, extra power and efficiency.
PE £35, I know my cars approx bhp and torque,
G Force £40, I know my cars approx bhp and torque, boost achieved on the rollers ( quite often lower than on the road ) and the cars fueling in relation to revs and boost. £5 well spent IMHO
Sorry for going on but I have spent the best part of £300 on rolling road days and only once come away with a good understanding of how my Scooby was running / performing, and that figure was 19 bhp less than another rolling road a few weeks before.
I'm confident WRC will give us as good a service as G Force have in the past

if what I heard is true then Im am going to stick my neck out and say that PE rr last weekend was a bit of a disgrace really.
no pre-checks from the staff?
not even running with detcans on??
seems like they wanted to rattle everyone through before 1pm.
its nobody but the owners fault that the lads arent paid after 1, so the blame rest squarely there IMO.
although the vast majority of runners on club days are after pub talk figures, a few who care want the extra info thats available with it (Not everyone has the ability to log info on the run - although you could have recorded it on your avc-r Col?).
I know that we moaned about the figures from the Tuning Japanese rr day last year, but you cannot fault their professionalism and the care they took with cars
tuppence where its not wanted, possibly

For me - I was hacked off enough after the run at PE that I wont be going there again........... I do wonder how the big power cars get on if they couldnt get the rollers correct on my car........
Anyways - back to the thread - hope this one will be a good one - it will if Chris works there

have you got a date yet ? I can do 23rd .
would like to see what my boost curve looks like as it wasn't on the PE printout from last weekend
would be interesting to run the car back to back on these rollers - as nothing will be changed.

As a suggestion, G Force are now doing rolling road days again, if you ring them and speak to Adam he would probably be able to help, just in case WRC-Tech are not up and running yet.
cheers

Mark, I'll go to either! Been to G-Force before, and its a very nice set-up, although that was when Chris was still there, so I assume WRC Tech will be much the same. Nice set-up in other words!

Right, I can confirm the 23rd April is on!
Spoke to WRC today and am keen to give them a try as they do sound very well setup.
Re dyno chart queries, I can confirm they will give Boost pressure, AFR, Inlet temp, BHP, Torque and extrapulated BHP at the flywheel figures.
I will start a new thread later, as this one is a bit long now!
