Hope you get it sorted.

Phil, the 9th is saturday mate. Even TV types get saturdays off, they just film it on a friday and make us believe it's saturday
Clever effects 'n that
Apologies for my inattendance over on your site. I don't get on the web as much since we moved, as I have to go up to one of the bedrooms instead of just perching the lappy on the edge of the sofa whilst ignoring Emmernation Street
I tend to just visit my CP on here, a quick troll through Gen & NSR and then have to rejoin my loved one (if CG isn't in
). As a special favour though, I'll go now and make a few posts
Hope you can make it Phil

Oops !
Was just in a store and rummaged in my jacket pocket for something, and what came out with the something.....only the bl00dy cheque for the deposit on the track
Phoned Howard to apologise and confirm the date was still secure, and all is fine, phew !
Howard will be there on the day, so if anyone was considering tuition, he's da man
Can't recommend him highly enough

OK, let's sort some final details out.
Getting there
As before, we will travel down in a convoy. This time we will set off from The Trading Post (WYIOC monthly meet venue) at 7.30am
The route takes us along the M62 east to J35, M18 south to J5, M180 east to J3 then right onto the A18, right onto the A159 and down to the Optimax station. Then straight down to Blyton and left onto the B1205. We should be there by 8.30, so allowing for the briefing and final payment, we should be on track no later than 9.30am.
Tuition
As yet no-one has signed up for tuition
Howard himself will be there on the day to offer his 35+ years of international rallying experience, and I'm sure those who've done it before will confess that it is an eye opener how bad many of us drive, and how quickly you improve under expert guidance. The cost is £150, equally split between those who'd like to try.

Just come across this thread while surfing the Net at work.... Dont tell
the boss
Would there possibly be room for a midlands outsider on this trackday?
I know I've left it a bit on the late side but I only just stumbled across
this thread.
If its to late I'll have to catch the next one.
Cheers Shimy.

Shimy. Not too late mate, I'll pop you down as unconfirmed. It's a bit late maybe for sending a deposit, so pay in full on the day. Feel free to bring any Midlands Scooby's along, or perhaps just any friends or family to spectate.

What? You forgotten already?
Mind you, after Dave's comments about Howard's driving skills, I'm tempted myself, just for the opportunity to watch the guy in action.
Dazza could do with some tuition too, methinks

My car is still at Scoobyclinic being repaired. If they manage to get it finished I might be able to get down during the week but it will wipe out half a day (getting train down) and work commitments at the moment will probably prevent this.
So at this moment in time it is looking very doubtful at the moment.
Damian.
