Good day out - plenty of places to eat & drink and the High St and Market Sq. are closed for the day.

Ok lets get this old chestnut back up again

 

Less than 2 months to go and by my reckoning only just over 60 signed up! Where is everybody? I'm closing the town centre of Alton for this meet and I want to get even more Scoobies here than last year. Much more interesting than Reading - remember all the pubs and restaurants? ...and the A339 is such a great road to drive to get here.

Come on guys - pass the word around and let's see 200 Scoobies in Alton this year!

 

Will any of the shops be open in the town centre this year? Not used to everything being shut on Sundays anymore!

Ok ive just received an e mail from Vern and basically it goes like this......

The Chamber of Commerce have given me some money to pay for
entertainment and I'm planning to maybe get the guy with the guitar
back this year - I could get a group but that would mean a stage in
the Sq. and reduce prime parking space!

I will also try and get a street entertainer to create a bit more
atmosphere, plus the bouncy castle and burger van. I also gave out
leaflets to all the trade stands at BSO and if you receive any
requests let me know. I'll also try and negotiate a special room rate at the Swan -
new manager this year though!

Come on lets beat last years attendance figures. Any ideas anyone?
