I don't like it (and I don't support Man U, Chelsea or Arsenal), but if Man U can't get a penalty at home, what chance have the rest of us got??

Zero.

Andy.
Hang on here Chelsea a BIGGER team than MAN U are you having a laugh mate?????

Huddersfield Town have won the leauge more times than Chelsea!!!!!

Chelsea have the makings of becoming BIG...as far as being BIGGER than MAN U....not yet mate.

Looks like Chelsea have one trophy in the bag then. The league looks likely as well, although thats been said before around this time of year. I do reckon it's chelseas this year though. However once your champions every team tries harder so retaining it is a challenge.

You had a good run, Utd but the dream is over for you.
Thats been said before as well, by arsenal fans back in 1998, mu have won the champions league and 4 league titles since then! I think the top 3 in the league at the moment will dominate for a few years to come and it would take another abramovich situation to elevate another club to that level.

mu are in a transitional period at the moment anyway, the midfield is growing old and the strikers (apart form rvn) are fairly inexperienced. Perhaps we'll be back stronger in a couple of years depending on purchases and which youth players develop.

We need a Lampard or a Gerrard, simple as that. And a big time Keeper.

Peter Cech is class. Simple as that, he makes no silly mistakes and installs a confidence in the team which we have missed since Schmikes

Keane does not put himself about as much as he used to and he seems to need more rest than ever. Scholes really has not improved that much since retiring from internationals.

We miss Nicky Butt in my opinion. He gave 100% from start to finish in everygame.

Only at Half Time did the players come out fighting strong yesterday.Sometimes it seems the players expect that life owes them medals because they play for United.

For me the midfield man we need to hone into Keane's shoes is Alan Smith. He is not a fly-boy and works hard. He's nothern, hard and good in the tackle with both feet. He has been our best buy this season bar Heinze. I met him after the Bolton game when he was signing autographs for some kids and one of them said "Alan, can you sign this shirt for me" to which he replied "No, the Gaffer has told us we cant sign shirts as they get sold on the Internet". He then (along with Darren Fletcher) got into a basic spec BMW 3 series convertible and drove away calmly. No Aston Martins or Fly-Boy Ferraris for this lad. Hes a united player, Norman Whiteside of todays game.

We need more of them.

Too many shandy boys in our side

Still, with the right application and discipline we have a team of the future built not by corrupt russian money but by the fruits of being the biggest club in the country from the last ten years

Blackburn anyone?!

I'm not! I'm an mu fan, I'm just giving an objective opinion on chelseas chances!

Agreed we need a Keane replacement, Smith is a good player but is maybe more of a replacement for scholes in a few years time and an extra strike option. Gerrard would be perfect, he'll surely move this summer as liverpool are looking more and more like a mid table side but I don't think it will be to mu, stranger things have happened though!

Lol is it any wonder Chelski are becoming the most hated team with fan attitudes like that? You aint won dick yet fella so dont count your chickens.

You make it sound like you whooped our *****. The facts are we had more posession than you, same amount of shots on target and more shots in total. You won the game because howard couldnt catch a ball - the game could easily have been won by either side it was that close. The last 10 mins you were pretty damn ragged.

Man U will never be 'past it' because they have too much money and fan base in this modern big bucks football industry. Maybe they'll be 3rd every year but I don't really see them going down further.

As for the Moscow State Circus (Chelsea), I call them the George Graham team of the moment. Very similar to the Arsenal during 1991. Lost once, conceded only 16 goals. ultra solid, wore teams down, all worked like dogs, great team spirit, and with the rouble mafia man behind the scenes they will always be there.

As for my team, the Arsenal, well I'm worried we might fall behind. Wenger can't stay for ever, and we;ve been punching way above our weight for 7 years now. Our net transfer amount over this period is less than Liverpool, Newcastle, Boro, Spurs! and of course Chelsea and Man U. We are having to compete with these 2 teams using 17 year olds we pick up on the cheap. We would love to go and buy a Rio for £30M, but we have to stick with Cygan, or try to groom youngsters like Senderos whos 19yrs old. We would love to buy a Rooney for £30m, or a Robben for £14m, instead Wenger steals van persie for 2M! How?? We spunked all out 2004/2005 transfer budget on £12M Reyes. My worry is how long can the Master keep this up? How can he keep picking up these bargains on the cheap (Kolo Toure - £250k!!)
Supposedly Real Madrid now have a policy to chase any transfer of youth players that Arsene goes for! How we going to match that?

When my fellow gooners moan because they don't see the UNBEATABLE glorious footy of last season, they should realise how lucky we really are to be messing it with teams above our financial level, with a small stadium, no shareholder investment etc. We could and should be fighting it out for 4th place each year at best.

Chelsea fans - enjoy every minute lads, because it won't last, never does.

Theres almost a tear in my eye Ted .
Cheer up I still see you as the team to beat. What I dont understand is why Man U fans seem to think they have a devine right to win everything? Arsenal and now we come along and start beating 'em, its cause we "bought" a team, they seem to forget the amounts they've spent over the years on RVN, Veron, Stam, Yorke, Cole, Rio, Rooney. You would think they would like a bit of a challenge for a change. But as you say, will enjoy it at the moment. Good luck tomorrow, you going?

Whoever mentioned a divine right to win? Dont make generalist statements. Ive actually enjoyed watching Chelsea this season (and Arsenal this year and last) - I still want them to lose if it benefits us though. I think even with the money, Maurinho has got exactly the right balance of british grit/determination and european flair. I think he is the best signing you made - not the players on the pitch.

That said people (and that isnt just man utd fans) are always going to refer to your money when bating as it obviously works The one main difference is that we earnt our money and didnt just get it handed to us like you or Real. Until you win consistently you are just another Blackburn.

Simon.

Point taken . The real bating comes when the team you support wins . I think we have been pretty consistant over the past six or seven seasons, just as consistant as any other team, bar winning the leage I guess.
Good luck in the cup today Simon
