ok..so I re-read the thread and think I found the answer!

Hence the classic route , Not going to be roaring about

The Classic MENCAP Route for me too.

Nice gentle burble round the country lanes.

Might even get to dice with a Massey Fergy through the twisties.

Spoke to Dave the organiser & he says both routes are scenic it's just that the "touring" route has more open road for those that feel a need to stretch their legs.We will do plenty of that on the drive down.

The "rally" is geared to be non time or speed critical.You set your own pace & take in the scenery for a change. As if.
