I have the MOT certificate presented to the DVLA with just the chassis No. on for initial registration, that the DVLA then stamped with the issued registration No. The "mileage" on that MOT - 62000. This was in Feb last year when the car was imported and registered (V5 to prove), hence at that pre registration MOT the car had just been converted to read in MPH rather than KPH. As you are aware in Japan the speedo clock counts up in KM's, so basically the KM's on the car when it was imported was 62000 (39000 miles). The clock now reads 70000, which has been counting in miles since 62000, so total mileage is 70k - 62k + 39k = 47k miles.

I am up visiting the inlaws all weekend in the Audi, so form an orderly queue to view the car upon my return
