Carragher should just shut his mouth and concentrate on doing what he's paid for... playing football. Learn to keep a clean sheet and score more goals than the opposition, something Liverpool have failed to do in both home and away games against Chelsea this year. Don't rely on the ref to give you everything. Chelsea have been denied two blatant penalties this season at Villa and Fulham, but thats no big deal. NUFC should have had one the other day when Ashley Cole practically caught the ball. Mistakes happen.

Get over it! Score one more goal than your opponents and you'll win! But then you don't have the players or the manager to achieve that. Get used to mid-table when SG packs his bags at the end of the season.

I guess the loyal LFC fans won't get round to replying for a few hours until they get home from Norwich. Or will you just take the short walk to the PC from your armchair? Maybe thats where _Nick_ is?! .
nice response shame you are missing the whole point of this thread and feel the need to insult....

Give over... it's to be expected that there's always one who thinks they are clever, on what was a sensible discussion thread

I'm not quite sure what makes you think your comments are many more valid than mine. I'm giving my perspective and frankly its tough if you don't like it. Just like Mr Riley's decisions .

There are several (not very clever) references to the owner and team I support in this thread. I am quite within my rights to respond to those, and will continue to do so as I see fit.

I was at the game too, and have been to many LFC V CFC games over the years where CFC have had decisions made against them. Yes, I agree that Riley was poor, and have always thought he was, but I don't understand why both you and Carragher and still banging on about it. Especially when you're actually playing at this moment! I'd be at the game watching it, not on Scoobynet.

Mark, the point is.

Mike Reilly didn't miss it or make a mistake. He bottled it, for whatever reason, FA pressure? Who knows.

If there were no passion and desire to discuss things afterwards then what would be the point of playing the game in the first place

Lol

See you at the East or West soon.

Happy New Year

Nathan, I know the above is your opinion, but I don't think its fair to say he bottled it. Nobody can tell what he really did. Only the man himself knows that. Granted, a strange decision, and this is my point. Most fans will view refs as favouring the home side, and together with their linesmen (something me and Redkop agree on ) the decisions usually go that way. Over the last 35 years refs have made unfair decisions in front of the Kop. You guys get one against you and the bloke is the subject to a witchhunt.

I've heard him quoted as saying he thought it was ball to hand/arm. If thats what he thought then I'm not sure how anyone can say he bottled it. I know you will say he had the whistle in his mouth, but again he's claims it was for another infringement. He made a split second decision. It might not have been the right one, but he made it. Refs are a strange breed and often watch a completely different game to the rest of the people present. I have to admit that I didn't see the incident at the ground, but then I was at the other end in the corner, lol!

To be quite honest, and I'm not the greatest fan of refs, I thought he was quite biased in Liverpool's favour. Carragher's comments certainly suggest he saw this for a good few minutes too.

I'm intrigued by the inference in your second sentence. Can you expand on that? What sort of FA pressure? Perhaps this explains why Mike RILEY bucked the trend and gave an away side a decision for a change. I doubt it myself. I tend to prefer the suggestion that he displays higher levels of incompetence than some of his colleagues . Why else would he give Man utd so many penalties?! . (Is it just me that thinks Riley looks like the Ginger bloke in Game On? )

Good result against Norwich. Mind you, if Carragher had admitted the handball, it would only have been a draw. Expect a flood of wronged Norwich fans on here shortly .

I'll catch up with you in the spring when work calms down.

Cheers

Mark

Ball to hand from 30 yards, buwahahahahahahaha

My point is the same as yours, who knows why he made such a ****e decision.

Yes that is my opinion (bottled it) and no one is going to convince me otherwise

LOL.

LOL, didn't think so. There's no reasoning with refs

Maybe I should suggest that Tiago was pushed.

LOL, I never really got an answer to that one Paul. Maybe our LFC conspiracist friends believe even the FA are against them?

(Sorry Nathan, don't mean to drag all this up again but I'm a bit bored today, and still grinning from Saturday's win)

Quite possible mate.

Who says Abramovich (sp) hasn't got his fingers in a few pies.

Maybe Dudek took a bribe.

Who knows.

However I'm sure underneath the refs kit was a blue shirt

Why wasn't Cech booked for wasting time?
Why was a corner given which led to Chelsea getting a deflected goal, when it was clearly a goal kick?
Why was there so little added time? 3 minutes at the end of the second half was nothing short of a fecking joke

The main 'why' is... why won't Riley be accountable to the FA for his ineptitude?
WHY wasnt Norwich awarded two penalies against Liverpooh?
