lmao
will be laggy as hell
ive got 125miles on the rebuild now
being very, very carefull with it, tonight on the way back i actually let it go to 3krpm for a second or 2 before coming back down to about 2200 ish
dont think the throttle has been anywhere near the first 1/4 of its travel TBH
ive noticed the turbo sounds diffrent>? at low spool speeds
not sure if its the ported headers and the oversized uppipe thingy bob?
it sounds a bit like a new mini, before it makes its normal spooling noises lol

morning
its going to be a sccccchhhhhhhhhooooorrrcher today
200 miles on the rebuild
need to travel down to Reading for the last ever time on the 27th of this month, do you rekon it would be best to get as many miles under its belt before then, or use the 660 mile round trip as part of the run in process?
not sure if sitting at 70mph most of the way there is a good thing or not?

Last trip to Reading, your lass moving up here?
Personally I would use the journey as part of the run in, just do the usual and vary your speed along the motorway.......................................... .................................................. .................................................. ..............................................neve r exceeding the national speed limit of course
and keep the AA card in the wallet

yea shes finally coming back home
quite like the "free" life i have at the moment to be honest, plus her new place in sandyford/newcastle has NO PARKING OUTSIDE, and theres no ****en way im leaving the car 2/3 streets away outside sum randoms house , Alyn removed the dawse so its not running much boost, cant afford a AA special at the present time.
need to start saving for a mini moto

went out this afternoon, was getting stressed at stupid things, went out for a bit of a drive
pulled away from a roundabout
changed gear at approx 3k, exhaust gave a tiny little "pop"
it was like a newborn baby saying "daddy" for the first time
took it to 4k for the first ever time today, was low load and pretty brief
starting to get confidence that its not going to shat itself out if i go anywhere near the revs, i am crap at running in never done it before so i dont really know what im doing, and i hate not being able to do sumthing

Good evening from sunny North Shields
Unfortunately it's that MOT time of year for my '94 WRX.
Anybody recommend any garages in the Newcastle area that they have used?
Many thanks,
David

not an impressive bodykit IMO
then again i like the factory style stuff really

re: minomotos
i fancy buying a cheap ebay ****ter and putting the lawmower engine in for a laugh
it revs its clappers off after me and dan "tuned" the carb
the piston is slapping a bit tho
do you fancy another rebuild alyn
how much to put a 2.5 short block in my lawnmower

Yup car is mapped, pulls a lot better, feels loads quicker but since it was mapped everywhere i go i get stuck in traffic or behind a copper so i haven't really had a chance to test it.
I did set it away once at 11 o'clock on monday night, came off a roundabout in 2nd booted it, back end was all over the place lol it would never do that in the dry before
