shouldn’t kids be monitored anyway…now would be a good time to resurrect the cats vs. kids who is more evil thread?

So, in our house we have a female tabby (5yrs) and a psyco black and white 2yr old boy (who recently had his bits chopped off).

Hello mate, introducing a new cat can be a nightmare. As previously mentioned above everything should settle down in about 2 weeks and then they should get on like house on fire. Ive got 2 Norwegians a Birman and a Moggie. The youngest but biggest Norweg is just over 17 lbs and is 3 years so still got another year of growth yet.
The breed are very laid back usually but as you mentioned you may need to assert yourself so that he knows your in charge and hes not the leader of the pack. I had to do this with Loki and he now knows his place with me however he beleives hes higher up the food chain than my Mrs.
Dont take any s**t off him and give it a fortnight and everything will be fine.
10.5 kg is a big cat however they can get to about 28 lbs (12 and a bit kgs) at which point you have to feed them small children and they cant go out unsupervised.
Hope everything goes ok
All the best
Jol
