but I'm pretty sure Simo will go onto it. My Dad uses it on his mahogany dining table, and it's like new, 20 years on. It even says "automobile - furniture" around the tin 
I use it, my Dad uses it, my Grandad used to
I went through the "youngster knows best" phase, trying various mate/mag recommended products, but in the end, my Dads car was always shinier so I succumbed to the tried, tested and proven. And at £5 a tin, what a bargain

Simo Original doesn't sell well because applying it is such hard work, and most people are extremely lazy.

swirl marks is caused by mini tornado things wizzing grit and crap around your car when you drive it at speed.
one of the car mags did a test where by over a long period of time, all the ever did was jetwash the car, no sponge, no chemicals, no car wash brushes, just the jetwash, and it was swirled at the end

If ure certain that it was caused by the guys who washed ure car, and if they are a registered business then the best call is Trading Standards mate, especially with a car like that
However, I always wash myself. Didnt invest in an expensive Karcher Pressure washer for no reason lol

Diamondbite is a polymer coat, often sold by dealers on new cars at an extortionate cost (£2-300) "never have to polish your car again" type bollocks. Basically cheap old ****, may as well pay £8 for a bottle of Autoglym, similar stuff (or not, if you get my drift)
Power wash the car, work from top to bottom and use loads of water, use clean cloths/sponges, separate bucket/sponge for wheels; then Swirl remover, then a decent carnauba wax as previous stated is always the best way

PS - you could grow spuds in mine at the mo - bugger hatchbacks with a "Kamm" type tail that creates a low pressure area that sucks all the crap up the back

Swissol Cleaner is an excellent product for removing swirls, light scratches and various grime. Expensive but the finish is unreal, although im tempted to try out Mequires next time round.

Used to use Autoglym. Then bought MY98 and used a mates Meguires. The paint was a bit flat but after cleaning wax, then tech wax, finished of with Gold Class clear. Looks like new and only took 1.5 hours.

Birdy old girl, not having too much luck at the mo eh
Some oily tick dragged his rucksack along my car (drove off before I got to them, but I got the buggers' reg) and left nasty scratches down the n/s rear door. A combination of ye old wax wixxard cleaner, zymol HD clense and Swissol was saw the whole lot as good as new. Only downside was that I then had to do the whole 'kin car
HD clense will get off piddly swirl marks easily enough, and being that you have more money than God, you wont even have to do it yourself!
Hope it gets sorted ok though mate

My swirls appeared after letting some 'hand wash' team clean mine outside of TIleys in Bristol - they might not have done it but I do feel a tad guilty at not doing it myself. And the made my dash shiny - I hate a shiny dash - oh well lesson learned!

I cant believe anyone takes their pride and joy into these places,how many rusty heaps (vans/bikes/lawnmoors/wagons/)have deposited their flaking paint work on to the sponge/leather and then onto your lovely paint work..ouch! powerman

I'd wager that the swirls were there from day one, and the boys at the carwash simply washed all the polish/wax away that was covering them due to using fairy liquid or some other harsh cleaner.
Seen it happen.
Arron, do you have horizontal "scratches" as well, or are they all swirls?
The reason I'm asking is that no one washes a car with circular motion everywhere.
