I would also like to say a big thank you to all involved in organising this day out, as a spectator I had one such a good time.
A special thanks to Tiny, Robroy and Gansta for taking me out on track - Gansta I'm sure we'll end up in Scoobymag with that little Off right next to the Cameraman!!!
here are a few of my pics from the day
Baz - a special one just for you mate!

Robroy - that doesn't class as a crash helmet mate!

And the rest.....

Think you mean this one mate

lol it was Jon Mather's fault - "take the bend at 120 in fifth mate, it'll hold nicely" lol

I have voted for it in the hope that it is included in the chosen pics when the article is published. LOL

It's the slight bend you take flat out before that new section the Bedford guy was talking about .... the one before the uber long straight along the back wall. Nice little section but I was way too late on the brakes after taking it at silly speeds. Instead of spinning out on track I opted for the slow roll into the grass. Much safer I think!
I thought that was the one you meant - not many people were brave enough to try that flat and leave them with enough room to brake.....as you expertly showed!
I think I only just managed to do it a few times in the Clio (when it was nearly dry before lunch) which is a little slower and does not take so much stopping.

Well I had been taking it in fourth at about 95-100 but after Jon Mathers took me out he persuaded me to take it in fifth - as that's what he did. Just so happened that when I went to take it in fifth he was behind me so I though I'd show him I was learning etc. Lol didn't quite work out.
Bit of dirt was better than his scoop being in my window I think!

As soon as I get AP 6pots on the beast I will have that corner ...

Your right on that matey ... having that two/three lap blat around with ya was the highlight of my day. No blue flags being waved anywhere - even the circuit marshalls could see we were having a proper race. F.in awesome.
That pug is hardly a cheap family a to b car though - some serious work under the hood and some serious time around the ring. Again though it was class having a proper race like that - have to do it again sometime!

errrrrrrrrrrrrr no work under the hood mate. It left the showroom with 130bhp and it now has 136bhp. Hardly a large increase

The suspension has been on the car for at least 12 years the only real difference is the lack of a bit of weight, and ferrodo pads.
People underestimate how good the little 205 is at their peril.
I enjoyed it too mate and didnt have time to look for blue flags or any other flag for that matter

Gary
