My wrxd
Had it since new 18 months old gold GT1 18 wheels with pirrellis
Black tints ,STi spoiler and STi grill ,Nbo graphics on carbon ,and of course the power upgrade giving 180 bhp and massive amounts of torque which makes it as fast as the classic wagon ......and er........45mpg over 19 k miles
The classic and the future ,the perfect combination

But I still love my green wagon round the twistys

Hi Folks!
My first post, and my first Scooby!

I have a feeling I'll be keeping it for a long time
I had it from Chris at 'Cars Direct' in Nelson, Wales. Just before xmas... He seems to know his stuff, specialising in selling Scoobs and Evos, so I pretty much took his word that this Wagon is basically a good one!

I was glad to give up my BMW and get the Wagon just before the next bout of snow came... most of my driving is rural - around Monmouth / the Forest of Dean... often with our two dogs on board for walkies!

These are the kind of places I park up with the dogs... winter weather has seemed worse over the past couple of years... we needed AWD and more room in the 'dog zone' than the little BMW 318ti Compact could offer... at least, that's my excuse!

Mods:
So far I've bought a 'good used' Subaru dog guard from a chap on the bay.
A genuine rubber boot-liner from Cotswold Subaru.
Smoked side repeaters that I've fitted.
Bought some plastic 'vents' to replace the dodgy orange side markers... dunno if I'll paint them silver or leave them black.
Blue mudflaps with silver WRX logos (not yet fitted as it's raining!)... I know black flaps would have been safer, but the kid in me wants it to look a bit 'rally-style' eventually.
Future mods:
Hrm... plenty to think about... a rear lower hatch spoiler, front foglight covers, front grilles, headlights... lots of research to do, before I even think about the engine!
Sorry about the long first post. I should close now (although I could go on all day!).
Final thought:
Very happy I bought the car. I think I made the right decision... I'm using more petrol, but the forum subs are half I was paying the BMW forum!!
Best wishes to a great forum!
Phil
