If that cost 100k I am Alan Shearer.

But more to the point, what on earth were you doing messing about with imprezas when you can afford tuned 996 turbos!

I'll go for £60-70k.

I never once slated the car as i like ALL Porsches but my point was his post was WRONG, yes he has now adjusted it but he posted up the word RUF which would encourage petrol heads to open it and look only to find it isnt one.

You know the saying '' Its not what was written on the tin ''

As for all his other a#se kissing buddies '' keep it up '' i'm sure he's loving the adulation you keep giving him.
thanks for that zippy! I got carried away with my post when I first put it up so what? sorry??

the wr1 for ***** sake is only a tarted up sti is it not??

yes I like it when people say nice car that's why I posted pictures of it!!!

yes i'm excited about having a car that's worth 6 figures, but i'm also man enough to admit I made a mistake.

"calm down dear it's only a commercial"

secondly I am fortunate enough now to be able to afford my dream car BEFORE im too old to enjoy it (35) due to my owning my own successful business. I still have a very fond place in my heart for the scoob I had, it was something different and gave me a smile everytime I drove it (not quite the swallowed a coat-hanger smile this gives me ) but a smile anyways.

all im doing is sharing my love of cars with similar minded (hopefully) people.

right this will gobsmack some people but here goes anyways.

I drove the following cars is my search to find my ultimate (at present) car

Evo 330
M3
M5
Jag xkr-r
Aston Martin Vantage (can't justify a vanquish no way)
Audi Rs6
Audi Rs4
Tvr Tuscan (2 seats only)
Cerbera

I needed 4 seats

However the only and I mean ONLY car out of those that gave me a bigger smile than the scoob was this 911.

So that says how good the scoobs are in my mind, there is something about them that I couldn't place until now

MY old scoob had - Character

This 911 however - has a soul

Lovely Car Hawk, really like the look of it!

Even if I could afford it I'm not sure how easy I would find driving something with that kind of poke....................I mean just imagine how many times you would be in danger of losing your licence........

Heavanly Car though, one day I will have to take the plunge.....its gotta be a better all round owning proposition than any italian exotica

Personally, for that sort of money I'd find it hard to resist the charms of a Gallardo, DB9 or Conti GT.

It really is very very fast, in fact a freind of mine who owns a Noble just said tonight that this is a license loser

however it is only as fast as your drive it and it's very tractable and docile at low speeds.

And now for a reasoned, sensible review of this car.......

looks-subtle (for a 911 turbo)

Sounds-subtle

Interior- top quality and subtle

Driving position- very comfy thank you
Driveability- easy to drive, but still managed to stall it once....doh

Okay, take it steady...1st gear quick, pretty similar to the noble, into 2nd, yup still Noblesque 0-60 sub 4 secs, up into 3rd hmmm this is getting rather fast judging by the lack of blood in my legs, 4th OMGHYPERMEGAGLOBALSUPERWARPSPEEDCANTLOOKATTHESPEED OBUTIMGLAD
IMONAPRIVATETESTTRACKCOSIDBEGOINGTOJAIL

And up into 6th and relax

Even took it to some fabled 'twisties', corners flat and neutral, road hugging.
Now realise why THAT button must not be pressed.

Brakes-Work very well!

Stunning car

Negatives- There was some dust on the rear of the car (need to keep cars like that clean otherwise people might write derogatory comments on it )

Cheers Paul, twas good fun, nipped out this evening only to see the silver GT2 parked outside our house, there just like, you know, so common these 911's, I'll stick to the kit car

Just looked it up 11.7@124 for 520 BHP 2001 Ruf Turbo R. So the 550 BHP will probably be 11.5 or 11.6?

Mid 11s then
