Gauge group Buy
Ok all, i was about to post this update before i read these.
Some of the gauges have been shipped already, and these people should have recieved an email. The rest of the orders will have been shipped by the end of the week (I assume that the gauge sets that were in stock have been sent, and the back ordered items being restocked are the items being sent by the end of the week.) Delivery will be 7-10 days, so hopefully some of us will get them by the end of the week, the rest should be next week some time.

Subaru directly will only give a 5% discount (rrp £69.95 - £3.50 discount) so its not worth it. I have also spoke to PSI3, but they obviously can't beat these prices due to subaru not giving them a much greater discount (although if you want a classic OEM pod they can supply these so probably a good option).
So it looks like we will all have to sort ours out induvidually. I'm personally going to see how poo the freeby one is first, but will most likely make my own fibreglass pod (with a view to selling more of them) that will hold 3 gauges, an AFR meter (just the LEDS), knock monitor (just the LEDS) and if possible my Road Angel 2. Untill i get gauges i won't know
Yep, mine have just turned up!!! I will check them out when i get home. Do they look ok BLK??
I will start making my custom pod in the next week or so, but am planning on using the naff one as a temparary measure.

Hi Austen,
Got mine today! The smoked look great... I think? Problem is you can't see anything! I can't wait to get them installed so I can see them lit
And good news for you Austen, you can tell your partner they only cost 38 pounds as stated on the delivery note
Thanks for sorting everything
1 year service very soon, so I'll get them plumbed in and post some pics.

They look great, - lit up!
The orange lead is for dimming the backlight when the headlights are on.
I look forward to watching my boost gauge rise and shouting "She cannae take any more, Captain!" much to the amusement of my passengers. Hours of fun I'm sure.

Got mine this AM and also received my defi-style I pod ordered (from elsewhere) as well
Put the gauges into the pod at it looks sweeeeeeeeet. My pod is shiny black, so when the gauges aren't lit it looks superb ! Should look even better once fitted and lit
Thanks again Austen
Been to Bluewater today to soften the blow
Ummm, how do you wire them up ?

I've got the Lamco STi boost gague, so I'll remove that and use that fitting. But anyone know where to wire up the oil temp and pressures ones on a newage ?

Why is it that I recieved a mail the same day as placing the order saying there going to be shipped today, which would of meant they should of been delivered the same time as everybody else, but now recieved a mail this morning saying they haven't been sent yet, and it'll be another 7-12 days.
has anybody else had the same problem.
I forgot to mention I order these guages last Tuesday.

Thanks for organising a great group buy Austen. Received my guages this morning and am very happy with them!
Don't think I am going to fit them myself though. Am a little too worried I am going to blow something up! Can't wait to get them in the car though!
Let me know how you get on with the pod otherwise I may have to buy one from Scoobymania.
Cheers again.

Parcel Force left me a note after missing me yesterday, hopefully that'll be my gauges
Does anyone know if we need an adapter or something for the oil temp sender? From Chiark's site:
And from Xyberautos:
Any ideas?
BLK
For centre pods for the early dash see JWRacing and Scoobyclinic, or Scoobymania do a 3 gauge pod that sits at the bottom of the A pillar, or numerous people do pods that go up the A pillar.
Will look forward to getting mine when I can be in for parcel force. Thanks again Austen

The Autometer sender is apparently quite tricky as it uses a 1/8 NPT leader tap thread, which translates as a swine to make a hole in a sump bung for.
For fittings, this Electrical Oil Temperature Gauge kit includes electrical sender with 1/8" and 1/4" NPT Adaptor.
