well to be honest i didn't expect much for £3.50 delivered, the price of a pint and a half down the local. i expected to find a flimsy effort that looked like it had been run off on your mates epson inkjet.
but having just spent 5 minutes having a quick flick through i am mightily impressed with the content and the presentation of the magazine.
wish you lads all the best with this magazine and hope you can continue to produce it at this standard!

Yeah, got mine!
Many of our own featured in there, Scooby-Si the demon 60 foot timer and his 22b, Andy F and his fastest scooby in the UK, Mr. Wallis and his unfeasibly powerful car ( HOW MUCH David!!! ), SubtypeR etc. And I have only just skimmed it since I got in tonight!
Hope we can keep them fed with newsworthy items / cars / events / personalities.....
Good quality mag,
Neil

Remember Lum, this magazine is not one of those big corporates who launch a new type of magazine every month with distribution to every newsagent and WH Smith in the country. You know the type you see advertised on TV (which costs massive ammounts of money) and the advert saying free Gold Prodrive wheel with part one, buy all 50 issues to build a brand new Impreza.
I'm not intending to have a pop at the mags authors or distribution methods, just trying to find the most efficient way of actually obtaining a copy.

Well done to Jon & Dee & all those unknown back room helpers that got this off the ground.Having seen some of the work & effort involved I know it can't have been easy. But all credit to you for sticking with it.
And the end result makes it all worth while.Something you should be proud of.
Course i'm biased as I got my 5 seconds of fame on page 67 or at least my back did.
Oh & Little Eric says hi.

Got mine yesterday. Very good mag, and nicely produced. Surprisingly big too - I guess I was thinking they might squeeze 30-50 pages out of it. Very pleasantly surprised.
Only a couple of criticisms (and hopefully constructive ones too)
- Photos were a little dark/unclear. Don't know why, but they just looked like digicam shots that were blown up too big.
- Slightly superficial articles. I was looking forward to the air filter test, but there was no testing of the ITG or K&N filter. Only the standard, STI and green.
- Lack of 'continuity' in articles. I don't know how else to describe it, but a few times there is stuff mentioned in the article that isn't followed up. eg, in the cover article on the dragon scooby, you mention how you waited until dark to see the neons, and it was well worth it. But no photos! I want to see how worth it it was too.
Like I said, hopefully these are constructive points, and I think I'll be subscribing properly v.soon (just the one issue so far)

With WH Smith announcing this morning they have made an annual loss of 135 million, it's good to see SM did not give them their asked 10k. As we all know the 10K would of gone straight into the pockets of the WHS management and no where else.
