So Chris I have studio 8 which burning software do you use ,I think studio 9 has a all in one pack i.e. capture,edit,burn???? Do you use fire wire this really good qal compared to USB .So if we give some dv tapes of the day(MINI DV) ect you could edit and bring together a Good qual DVD of the PEAK TOUR??? If you could it would be great unless anybody else wants to!!!

 

think I'm up to date with 9 now, usually firewire from dv cam to pc, edit, then render as whatever I need at the time, mpg, vcd, dv.
I've no problem editing the tour, just have to pick up all the tapes, and make sure they're compatible with my camera before I leave for the day
I can put the finished article back onto the tapes I've borrowed, or burn it to cd. One thing I haven't got is a dvd writer at the mo', so I can't make dvd's.
vcd can play on most dvd players though, but the quality is worse than video tape
, sometimes better to edit back to dv, then transfer that footage to video tape direct, you get a good film then.

Cw42 any chance of you getting or borrowing a DVD burner I really want this on DVD, quality as you say on CD is poorer than VHS.Or any body want to help cw42 with the burning ???

Rich, if you want I can meet you at the top of the Dronfield bypass in the layby next to the North building of Meadowhead school. I usually plod down to Alfreton on the A61 so I can pick up my camera man and meet up with another two scoobies before whipping down to the meeting place.
