well, it was more a case of we knew each other from a previous tour, and we all wanted a play as we were in the 'slow' group' back earlier in the year.
since then we've all had power gains pretty much in varying amounts, plus we got on well
i missed the most recent tour prior to this, but again i think the guys went together for that one.
Steve took the lead as he seemed to have solid navigator and he looked he was up for some brisk pacing
Steve777 picked himself as leader and we just tagged along for the ride

fast group:

steve777 (leader),
cw42 (camera car- and 'radio loan' man cheers chris!),
foxmod
PPP ,
Mark - drives it like he stole it! (not on SN- but a friend of foxmod) ,
me comedy 'stealth' car .

PS: You will be on the first half of my footage. One word: Rapid!
Can't wait too see the footage, was a superb morning in some equally superb scenery, and the nattering went something like ' What the f*** is wrong?' , infact my daughter was even more disapointed than me that we missed the second half she cant wait for the next one - like father like daughter!!

Hi Mick,

Boy can she drive!! and yeh boy does that classic go considering it was 5 up! bless . Totally made it for me following u two and was quitely pleased how well the my97 kept with you, as hearing your Stana Pod tails, I thought I might be in too quick a company for the first run out, but instead there was spontaneous bouts of yeharing in the WRX.

Thanks Marv for a superb day and definately up for more, the sti looks double in the flesh too what it did in the mag especially when it filled my rear view

I would be up for an earlier start, infact I had been previously told it was 7:30!! Now that would wake the mountain bikers!

were you in the silver classic? i was leading the 2nd group that caught you up. we lost you through some traffic lights as had to wait for the rest of my group.

i think i will be joining you five in the fast group on the next one!!!

if thats ok....

i should have had a ECU remap by then. so should be pushing about 290bhp

no silver classic in our group- only 03wrx-> Mark
I was in the muddy DBM classic thats looks oh so 'normal'

sod it- think we should ALL be the fast group
we gave Steve777 a surprise when we had to make a stop for fuel/loo - we had radios but there wasnt a spare one for steve.. he wondered what the hell we were doing.. as we headed for marple.. then we finally got out onto the open road to get caught up in endless caravan convoys
...hence why you caught us up

even so; some awesome looking cars out to play judging by the snake inn car park..

Churchie; I was the fella parked next to you in the DBM- I too thought you were talking mods..
sorry to hear of your trouble.

I never thought about radios, half way round I realised I had mine in the glove compartment.

Still waiting for the footage off my mates camera Chris, sent him another reminder today. Seeing as hes got the day off tommorow I hope he gets his finger out!

Unhappy My humble apologies to you all!

Hello!

I was one of the camera cars on the tour, made possible thanks to CharlieWhiskey's camera mount (Thanks again!) and the loan of a video camera from my friend Jay.

As you all probably know CW is putting the footage together to make a DVD so we can all see how dirty we managed to get our cars!

I have still not got my footage back from my mate and as Chris's holiday time is limited he has had to press on and make the film without it.

I feel a total tit as I told CW and Paul I would have the footage to CW by wednesday / thursday. This is the reason the tour DVD has been delayed.

When I get the footage back I will be popping copies the those of you in my group (you know who you are ) and CW, Paul & Marv.
