Oh...and for the folks who sent me 'special' PM's...you know who you are. I really, really hope we meet some day to discuss the remarks made.
All the rest of you good folks on here. All the best, chums...catch you at a track session soon.

it sounds like a lot of people are behaving like children and need to think before they say something they cannot take back.at the end of the day it is only abbs and not life or death

What a freaking joke this is turning out to be!! it's a bbs for crying out loud. If you want one that is run your way make your own. Seriously, this is the type of behaviour you would expect from a bunch of pubescent teenagers. I thought you were meant to be here for fun? Accept it the way it is or f*** off! You are giving the jocks a bad name here. I seriously recommend getting a grip.
This place is no fun anymore. I ain't playing. I will be hanging up my posting boots for the forseeable future until the matter is resolved; and for those of you who agree I suggest you do the same. Not that it'll make much difference mind..
Some of you... i expected better and my estimations have gone WAY down.

I think discussing the remarks made through the PM's with John in person would lead IMMEDIATELY, before speach, to them being withdrawn.
He, like many others, was trying to make a balanced point.
Pity it makes someone feel shut out.
Catch you on MLR John - and at the pub of course!?!

As a non-Scoob owner I find it strange that the SIDC forum seems under used incomparison to SN ? SN could be used as a technical references etc and meets etc organised on the Scottish section of the SIDC. BUT SN is used by lots of people who dont have Scoobs but do get involved at Scooby events e.g Knockhill, Alford, RR sessions etc. So is the SIDC forum purely for impreza owners ? I reckon phpB2 forums are more functional too...............
Disclaimer :- these are my perceptions so please dont roast me for something i have observed which may not be true in your eyes.....

This has been discussed at several Scooby meets, particularly by Dougster (SIDC co-ordinator Glasgow).
The SIDC forums are VERY under-used and really should be used a lot more but it is a viscious circle - ir the forums are quiet so no one goes there so they are empty and as such no one goes there because they are empty etc etc!!
Orgainsing events on the Scottish SIDC section would hence be very difficult. It is how it should be done though. Often links to Scoobynet threads are posted on SIDC by some of us to attract attention.
Thanks for your comments Cal - they serve the debate well. Anyone got any suggestions from Scoobynet as to how we could increase the forum useage on SIDC - YES I KNOW THIS IS NOT SIDC FORUMS.
Cheers,
Brian

What about a free plug for Gareths' site:

Not specific to Scotland, but another with great potential.
cheers,
