FB, for what it's worth (the paper Scoobynet is printed on...): if you could have tapped my house you would have heard me & my wife say the same thing: "kids, pah, selfish".

We do however compensate with having loads of pets and taking extremely good care of them, and deep down we know we were just chickening out (for various reasons private to us).

Olly, watch that cat ! Flowerbed alert

If you care to read I was the first in this thread to point out that gay couples may object to having kids too.

If you doubt my numbers, that's your right. I'd be truly amazed if I would be even 50 % off, but there you go.

You did spoil the fun I had in this thread though, ta.

Edit: backing up: Masters & Johnson

It's not an ideal world, the whole idea is out of order, ergo you're against it. That's very different from Tel's point, and I'm afraid demonstrates yet again that if one of us is thick, it's not me.

THE WHOLE IDEA IS OUT OF ORDER BIG TIME.

Yes, in the world in which we live.

....and you have a go at me for making assumptions.

Er, I'm using your quotes. You're saying you're against the concept in the world in which we live. I'm saying I'm not. Tel is supportive of the idea but is worried over the bullying. I agree with him.

My point is that I am not against the concept of gay parenting "in the world in which we live". You are.

Who iz fick?

Like a silly school boy. Amazing.

The difference is the bullying can't and won't be stopped. This is pointless. You are just a typical SN argumentative noddy.

What was that you were saying about arrogance earlier?

Noddy wasn't designed as an insult, more a statement of fact. You're one of these wind ups who thrives on disagreeing with someone, anyone, as long as you can. Noddy is apt ; as opposed to insulting.

Marriage is a union of two people who have chosen to spend the rest of their lives in matrimony.

Pushing the religious reasons aside, because not all of us believe in it, marriage should be open to all those seeking that ultimate confirmation of commitment.

It is unfair to suggest that a couple of the same sex are not adequate to bring up children as a couple. It is a damn shame the law cannot be so choosy when it comes to female floozy's!

Like anything, the human race moves on and things that were unheard of 50 years ago are now embraced as normal - whatever normal is.

Hooray for gay relationships, marriages and families. Boo to those who cannot accept the changes in society as the years roll by.

Yet again, you're assuming, assuming, assuming.

It may astonish you to realise that others (of whom I am one) fundamentally disagree with what you say. Live with it. It'll happen through life.

I'm disagreeing because I think you're wrong, have poorly-formed views, and can substantiate little of what you say, not because of a desire to argue per se.

Hypocritical as well as a "skim through post" reader.

I'm bored now. Leave it. Have your last say if you really wish.

I haven't read it in full detail to see if the above "experience" includes "hugging" or "kissing". When you get on to genital contact it drops to 6.3% and 5.7% respectively.

Now what do you term as gay? If you have had a gay experience, does that mean you ARE gay or just you have had an experience??

Anyway assuming that EVERYBODY that has had a gay experience is STILL gay and they ALL had children, then SomeDude - you are still overestimating.

I wonder how many of those 6.3% of men, consider themself gay. Of those that do I wonder how many of them have kids?? I think it is reasonable to say that you guess was wildly out and if it is 1.5% I would be surprised.

Just as a quick addage, it is obviously not important to have an opposite sex in the same family when rearing children, otherwise single-parented kiddies would show signs of being socially damaged... and they are not. Not from being reared by one parent so would not from being reared by two parents of the same sex.

I think to be GAY means you are drawn to your same sex in the attraction sense.

Many people have same-sex sexual experiences but that doesn't denote that they are gay, just that they have tried something different.

Dont come round here with your sensible comments. they're not welcome.

save yourself some time and effort by walking up to the nearest wall and repeatedly bang your head against it.
