will do.

Yer it's the best way.

1. You can track it down if need be
2. I can find you if it bounces etc.

With fastpay et al it's quite hard to find the "person" at the other end.

I'll get the PM's sorted tonight about payment.

Post Question on Payment

Wohoo...we have reached 20...

Now can anyone who has not already confirmed payment please do so....

Blkknight:
Was talking to another buyer, would it not be easier and quicker once all have confirmed payment, to make payment to the supplier direct via credit card?

Saves you waiting on the cheques from all buyers, and then for them to clear etc etc....

Let me know what you think of that, if its at all possible?

I think us paying the supplier direct is much easier for everyone. We get protection and warranty from our credit card companies and it gets a lot easier to admin for you.

I ran a GB ages ago and this was by far the easiest way of doing it.

Thoughts??

Without detracting from the excellant work of the folk who have organised this....I think Neil makes a sound point.

More protection much quicker and most folk can commit to a visa bill...it ain't going to bounce.

Just my thoughts

I'm up for this too(paying by credit card direct to supplier if poss.)as hopefully it would be alot quicker. All we'd need i presume is a contact no.of who to place order with, pay and hey presto it would be delivered !

I DONT MIND....as long as someone makes it clear what we are going to do,how + when we are gona pay...and when we're gona get "IT"...

Question

Okay so most people here prefer to pay by credit card direct to the supplier....

Eitherway...We have reached the long awaited 20!....

So...Just waiting on you Blkknight......Come on lets get the ball rolling...whats the next step?

Has anyone tried calling Blkknight on his mobile, one the 1st page?

Not tried calling him, but I PM'd him asking if I could pay supplier direct and his response was this

Regarding payment. . . No can do I'm afraid. The only way I secured the deal was to say they were for my employees in the company I work for. They wouldn't do them for a group buy at that price as it was deemed as "retail" which would have had to have gone through one of their resellers.
So it seems to get them at this superb price we will have to be a little more patient.

Blkknight can your company take credit card payments to help the buyers spread the burden on their bank accounts?

Just a thought.

With regards to what scoobymax said - is correct.

I'll ask again and try and blag it and see what they say.

With regards to my company taking credit cards - this is a no no as:
- they are to allowed to be resold
- If not being resold it's money laundering!

I'll drop em a mail tommow and see how it pans out.

I have no intention of doing a runner, scoobynet hgas become my second home (after my own forums http://www.lanse.co.uk )

let's see how i get on

Depending on who you are with,

You can still use a credit card to help your buget if you can make a cash withdrawal with it from a cash dispenser machine with a PIN number subject to your cards conditions. My Barclaycard - Visa does this. Then stick the cash in your cheque account or in a sock & send it off.

Some CC companies do credit card cheques which are at the bottom of their statements.

And BlkKnight I confirm you will get the money as soon as requested.

I've asked, waiting for reply.

I think I'll still have to use my company as the distribution network - so the signature on delivery still stands.

I work for a mail order company by the way.

The long & short of it is no.

If you would like to drop out please say.

Jason

HI Jason,

We do not have facilities here to take individual orders unless they are at retail price.

To buy in bulk we would need pre-payment for them all. The only thing I can do is give you a Pro-forma invoice for payment and we will despatch on cleared funds.

Sorry if it causes problems but unfortunately it is company policy to do it this way.

Regards,
Sharon

no i haven't done them yet, just want to make sure everyone's happy first.

Last thing I want is to have payment from 18 people and 2 dragging their feet, holding the whole process up.
