Mine's parked on the drive, with my Fiesta parked across the bottom of the drive. We live in a less than desirable area but touch wood no probs in 1.5yrs.

[So how many folk park their Scoob on the street??[/QUOTE]

Garaged when ever at home, after 10pm not insured unless in locked garage within 1/2 mile radius of my house. Like some one said if you wany one, you just have to accept the risk, try as much as you think you can to, otherwise what else can you do. I am also more bothered about dents & scratches if leaving on car park then theft.

Mines in the street,Never had a problem,Although i do have more anti-theft devices than maybe needed. Ofcourse it only takes a truck and there useless.

Mines is parked in the drive, just spent ££££ getting it all monoblocked so it sat in front of the window, with warrior parked right across the back end, so no chance of getting out as there a large pole the other side

Though i am clearing space at the side of the house to get it monoblocked & for the scoob to park on it behind a 8ft fence

Sleep with the keys beside me & have a dog that although is going deaf can still hear people going past teh house & starts barking, good enough for me

Though as previously said "thats what insurance is for" but you can never be too viglante

Mines garaged every night, garage is alarmed to, didn't spot 3 scumbags trying to break into the house for the keys, fortunately the dog went off on one before it got nasty.

Cheers

mmm my 53 plate WRX WAS parked on the drive until some chavs tried to break in to the house. I am certain it was for the keys... Moved the car to my folks house 20 miles away in a locked garage as I can use my bike during summer - don't know what I'll do come winter... need a garage. The car has a tracker, but don't trust it. Who would want a car back after ******* had abused it?

Mine is kept in the garage but I did some research on the best ways to keep your Scooby and came up with this list. Whether you park it in a garage or not select some from ideas from the list below.

Garage the car

Cat 1 alarm for car

Alarm the garage (is possible by extending the house alarm)

If the car is not garaged make sure where ever you do park it is well lit

If you park in a drive way purchase a Telescopic Anti Ram Raid Post and a security light that beeps inside the house when someone turns it on.

Buy some good quality CCTV cameras that can be mounted as high as possible around the outside of your house.

Fit a Disklok when ever you get out of the car (even in garage)

Buy three baseball bats (I prefer pick axe handles ) (garage, just inside or behind front door, one for upstairs)

Always take your keys to bed with you.

I have a tracker fitted to my Scoob but it’s not activated. If someone gets through all that and rags the **** out of my car all night, I don’t want it back.

If your afraid of car jacking always keep an eye on the cars behind you when you pull in to your street. If I think someone maybe following me I always drive passed the house and do an extra trip around the block.

Keep some pepper spay in the door compartment (or UK equivalent like X-Marker)

When you get in your car, lock all doors.

Some people may call me paranoid but my suspicion is they just want me to relax my security so they can get their grubby hands on the Scoob

Or get insurance dont worry, chill out, have fun, drive how you want to, dont worry if any ones followinng you, park it on the drive (iv got two at the mo) go to bed forget about it.

But i still have a bat under the bed and in the car

Mine is kept out of sight in the garage whenever its parked at home.

You wouldn't go out and leave a wad of twenties on view in the front window would you?

Mines on the street in a decent area and with the works car security wise, but not outside the house and I tend to move it around a bit - dont want to make it too obvious where the keys are kept...
