No Nick it means he didnt bother listening to me when giving him the guidance he needs
I`d love to be invited to show the WR1 a thing or two on the track.
With the ammount of practise Mike gets he should be quicker really!!!!
Ask him if he`s mastered the diff in the full back position yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could be a lot worse you know.

I've got to write boring fecking buisness software and look after a team of programmers, together with taking grief from customers etc etc etc.!

So designing kitchens appears to be somewhat better than the **** i'm in!

SAN, SAM, and much more...................... but, wait for it........ I too have customers but some of mine are German, French, Russan and many more with broken English.

I'll swap anyday with Mike, even jump at the oppertunity to play in the kitchen all day.
work sucks, I want to be a racing driver

So the battle commences then You're turn Arron

So it sounds as though we all agree that Mike has the best job. I would definitely swap mine, can you imagine having to fix software problems remotely in Yemen, Qatar, Pakistan.... at 2:30 am I think I could do with a few days blasting around the track just to de-stress. Or just be driven around by Mike putting the WR1 sideways would do the trick.

Sorry if I am going off the thread ! thius is my first visit I as a new member. Reading with interest the comment. Need to ask , I spotted Clive the brave who has recently been to Castle Combe, is this the same Clive I meet when I went to the Jap Fest day at the same track ?

If yes, Hi mate tickets booked for the Rally Day, if not then jsut Hello to you all.

I am at Pro Drive tomorrow, reading the comments I should be honoured to be going. I have onlt ben on a track many years ago, in an Astra so speed was not the order of the day.

Will let you all know how it went. By the way I am not an IT tech and so don;t know yet how all these fancy icons are put in.

MillieWR1 ( had to use this as it kept telling me that there is already a MIllie in use.

Sure was me,,,, I to get around......from the sounds of things......a bit like Mike from the sounds of things, and his secret about having a sausage each morning is out.....LOL.... NOW!!!! that does raise a question or two about just how close this relationship between ARRON BIRD and super fast Mike Wood when there's a sausage thrown in the equation............but I won't go down that route, not again.........

Rally day is all set, I've managed to sweet talk my dealer for a free parking space on their stand, so IainM and me should be out and about that day. C you there

The sistem is facking sheet (Try and imagine a stressed out frenchman shouting down the phone at me earlier today using his best english)

The French are also good at going to lunch in the middle of a so called critical problem. The world famous French lunches that are about two hours long. Very sociable culture

There was a WR1 (no. plate WR1) at Snetterton yesterday. I enjoyed watching it trying to figure out which wheels to give the power to on the exit of the slow bends.

There was a white old shape Scoob there as well, great to watch from behind as the diffs do their stuff.
Shame I got to watch it for so long... although they were quicker down the straights than my Exige they were way slower over the whole lap, but didn't like to move over and let me by.

Once i got the hang of the track ( in my mates WR1 ) i was onto lap 6, took the diff controll off auto and had a bit of a play.

One of the organisers - Andy, feeded me pace notes all the way round as i had never driven Snetterton Before, and there were alot of fast cars out there.

Good fun though just to find the limits of the WR1,
a big thanks to my mate for lending me his WR1 for the Afternoon.

Conclusion on the Diff, makes a bit of difference, with it on auto its major understeer, change it to manual with is full back int he green and the rear end come out a bit more !! but no major differences.

but its good to have the option !

Normal use i leave in Auto, if i want to have some fun i select manual.

Its like Wifie = Auto Man of the house = Manual you know what i mean !! LOL !!

One thing I did notice about the Prodrive WR1 at Castle Combe was the front brakes. The calipers looked like the original Brembo, but the discs looked like Prodrive ones. Another thing is that the discs looked bigger than the Brembos. Is this the case? Perhaps the chaps from Prodrive could confirm?

Yeah yeah I forgot to ask Mike at the time.

Had my first Prodrive Live day yesterday, dealer invite, well done to Showells at Stourbridge. What a day !! it was also my first go on any sort of track, I see how easy it is to get hooked. I also thought I could drive !! found out that all the sccobs I have owned could go a more, finidng your limits and the car is the obvious answer.

Joining in the Mike Wood debate, had two laps with him, he did for me ( dont know how to get the smilies on , but there would be a fell happy ones).

Asked him if the car was standard WR1, yes other than the breaks, groved discs, he is trying them out. If I can get close to driving mine like Mike yesterday, I am in for some fun. Dont know my chances as I won the blind fold event

look forward to seeing Clive & Iain at The Rally Day.
