Cool, a WR1.

That means I'm guaranteed to go a couple of seconds quicker than at least 1 car.

Just couldn't resist. Sorry

Note to CB, please turn off your automated WR1 search and pester software. This post merely mentions WR1, it does not state that I own a WR1, I do not wish to receive countless PM's and emails asking if I'd like to buy a plate for a WR1.
(this is payback for the 'overtaking' comment )

Yep, 1000 painful miles of sub 4K revs due to thin oil. 1001 on = warp factor tho Enjoy (& go easy on us STi Type UK'ers come track day Sticky/Mello Yello/Banana Man is fair game however ).

by the dark side i presume you mean an evo.
had a good look at the evo before going for the wr1,sorry mate i just dont like the looks, loved the VI nice and aggressive but VII/VIII just look too camp, bit like a proton and for similar performance id would of needed to spend 34k
nah liked my bugeyed ppp know im going to love the WR1.

Yeh I'm not sure of the looks either... the misssue would only have one in yellow... and I've not tested a T25 as yet... so the jusry is still out to be honest... I do like te looks or the scoob they just stand out... If the evo was in a more interesting colout then maybe it would look better...
Or and the noise! I forgot the noise! Mmmmm scooby!

Sticky's right in that at 10/10th's the Evo does have an advatntage on a track...

But it's real world.. Shape, noise & day to day driveability make it a scoob every time.

BTW.. How many Scoobs are on the road compared to Evo's... 6-1?

Subaru must be doing something must be right then..

The T25 just seals the decision really..

It's called 'Exclusivity'
I wouldn't expect you to understand.
And I reckon it's more like 60-1

This is descending into another Evo bashing thread. Next...

It's called popularity, and there's a reason for it you understand

I must admit, howerver painful it's going to be, that after driving Dazza's PPP'd STi yesterday it has restored a little of my Subaru fondness. The car feels a HELL of a lot more 'alive' than a certain someone's standard STi (Hello dear )

I'll still take the Evo every time though

1. Would we?
2. Do we?
3. Have we ever? (**Cough** little tenuous on this one )

Bashed you or your Evo in a derisoury manner? I think not... Not in a serious mode anyway...

In fact we all had a soft spot for Darth Vaders Taxi..

I think you'll also find that we're trying to understand the decision making process to choose between the two.

Evo - STI... STI - Evo. Tough decision really.. Personal choice mate.. As I'm finding with T25, M3, Exige to name but 3.

Put it this way.. the way some of these threads are going... there may be a few other marques in the Bridge Car park before long...

Cool..

Al matey - read my comments on my recent M3 experience.... Dull, dull, dull.... A nice commuter car, but hardly a thrill a minute.
Overpriced Monaco Louis Vuitton handbag....

I hope you're not breaking a habit and taking something I've said with more than the proverbial pinch of salt. Perhaps I need to start using more and 's.

Darth Vader's taxi now looks more like something the Phanton-Flan-Flinger would potter about in, but at least it will remove any doubt as to whether or not you spotted Sticky driving through Wakefield / Cas / Ponty etc.

I too considered an Exige, but at my (not that old) age merely getting in and out of one would take longer than the daily commute itself. I also looked at a fireblade / megabusa engined Westfield, VX220 (same problem as exige, unless the roof's off), and at the very last minute the 22B that's currently on Ebay with 9700 miles on the clock (nice!). In the end it was a case of better the Devil you know, and who knows, if the previous owner pulls his finger out and starts winning at his chosen profession then it may even become a future 'celebrity owned' classic (if it lives that long )

Any golf fans here?

I've just done a bit of covert t'internet research into said persons winnings for the past couple of years, and I've come to the conclusion that I've paid him too much!

I think I'll get him to sign the spoiler uprights before I take delivery, you never know...

JWS, there's about as much as we all know, detail wise, in one of the first posts on this thread. As for location and directions, where will you be heading from?
Most of us will be meeting somewhere locally (Wakefield / Leeds / M62 / M1 area) and convoying to a Shell station just outside S****horpe.

It might be an idea to arrange a meeting point at the services at M18 J5 (M180) to meet up with the South Yorkshire folks.

Rallydrive's location can be found on their website, www.rally-drive.com

NP

Last time we met in a couple of lay-bys just off M62 J30, but there's probably gonna be too many cars for that this time. Rothwell Sports Centre is another possibility, about 1mile off J30 heading towards Leeds, or there's the big car park at Xscape J32, no doubt something more concrete will be sorted soon.

You may as well meet up at my work again guys. I won't be there, but it shouldn't be a problem.

Off the M1 at J41 and head towards Wakey, turn left at the 1st roundabout then immediately 1st right. Left into the 1st car park you see.

Directions to Rallydrive :-

M62 east to J35, M18 south to J5, M180 east to J3 then right onto the A18, right onto the A159 and down to the Optimax station. Then straight down to Blyton and left onto the B1205.
Green route (not pink)

Have fun without me guys
