Possibly lower gas velocity thru now fixed up-pipe leads to lower torque ... but I think i am talking sphericals here!
Fixing leak should optimise the gas speed and sharpen response, faster response and faster boost should mean better torque ... I'd say maybe your "mods" fixes have moved power up a bit at cost of torque ...

Quite possibly
I still havent tried the other ECU yet (basically cos im lazy
and havent used the car since saturday morning)
I imagine I either still have a very small leak, or it is the disruption of the gas flow now, due to ported up-pipe, but until its mapped I wont know for sure![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Oh and all that waffle about me possibly running too rich, I think it was more a case of heavy right foot![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Drove to Bristol & back the other day, and got 330 miles before the petrol light came on

Heavy right foot - would not surprise me!!!! ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Go fit the other bits you have lying about, and get it mapped.
If not 300 - 320 I'll be surprised.
Then again, with my new Julian installed turbo and appropriate map, mine feels silly fast so guessing over 300 here too!
Lemme know if Well Lane or ProSport are doing a shoot out again! Would like an "After" result!

I have replied but you haven't read it
![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
I think it's similar to what Neil said, less torque at the bottom end in favour of more higher up, although your ECU fooked up the peak torque by pulling the timing.

LOL Rev, I did read it, but I was at work ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
The timing was pulled due to knock correction, it just got pulled back really severe lower than 20 !!
I personally think there *may* be a leak, but I dont really want to jack the car up, and lie underneath it with the engine running to check![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
I really do need to stick the other ECU in to see how that compares, I know the PPP ECU isnt that hot with a Full Decat sometimes, and it probably compounds things having the ported headers![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Roll on Remap Money

Once more I'll be missing this sadly - I'm down in the Alton Towers hotel for work (it's a hard life) and with them sending me on an all day Alton Towers routine on Friday, it would be rude of me to miss it ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

What time are we meeting? 7.30 again?
You'll be pleased to know I've fitted the airbox and got rid of the Blue Peter induction job. It now feels like I have even fewer horses under the bonnet. (Hurry up STi panel filter!)
Notorious Reverend, do you want Kelly to show you how to lay out those accounts (or whatever they were!)? If so I'd better remind her.
Sonic, can we look at your gauges again?!
Vulnax, do you want to swap that oil filter for a fiver?
Zool, are you going to join us? (Will be nice if you do!)
Abdabz, are you coming or not?! (That's not a rude question by the way!)
