I bought on the gate last year and it was no problem...
As Muddy says, saves a few quid... Probably fuind that the queue for people with tickets is twice as long as pay on the day when I get there. LOL!

I dont suppose there are any weekend passes left are there? Im guessing an SAE is a bit short notice to get a pass sent out so what are the other options please as it would be rude if i didnt have the car on the club stand

Ok Guys and Girls.


As mentioned to a couple of people who would like to attend. It's a bit late now to send off a SAE to get a carpass, I can't guarentee that you'll get the carpass in time.

What I suggest, is if you want to attend, reply to this thread (I'll reserve you one), then turn up on the day and collect the car pass from me. I'll be on the Club stand all Sunday morning.

If you wish to arrive Friday/Saturday then arrive at show and find Chris Garner (SIDC Wales Regional Organiser) who has spare passes.

It will mean you will have to park in the general carpark for a couple of minutes until you find one of us for a carpass. then you can come on the stand with your carpass.

Hope this makes sense.

If you haven't contacted me to reserve a carpass for you on the day then the rest of the carpasses will go on a first come first served basis.

OK Guys and Girls the weekend is upon us and the show (for some) has already started.

We still however have close to 20 carpasses left for this show.

They cover the weekend Saturday and Sunday, but they also cover individual days a Saturday or a Sunday.

If you would like to be on the club stand this weekend turn up and find either Chris Garner who will be there on Saturday or Myself who will be there the Sunday.

Find us and we'll be happy to give you a car pass. Subject to any being left of course, as it will be on a first come first served basis.

You can reserve a carpass if you PM, post or email me.

Hope to see some of you there this weekend.

Cracking laugh for the weekend and a pleasure to be there and what a sight those pole dancers were!!

 

Didn't really see many people on the stand... Got in about 8.30 on Sunday, parked up went and missed morning sign in.
When I came back in the afternoon to pick up my car for the runs I saw Muddy's parked next to mine. Looking lovely a shiny as always, Mr. Mudd!

14.4 and 14.3 if anyone was wondering. Bit dissapointed, but even most of the Skylines were struggling to break into 13secs, so not too bad I suppose.

I like the white Sti that did a 13.2, whos' was that??

Aye, the heat was a killer, everyone was running slow all weekend, Fri & Sat were worse though, was a little cooler on Sunday and times were slightly better, but not much.

Was there all weekend in my CTR and was also dissapointed with my times, ran three 15.0's in a row, which is 1/2 a sec down on what I've had in the past...

There were Impreza's there slower then me though!?

i spoke to one guy in a P1 (only serious mods was decat) and he got a 13.1 .. far quicker than i thought a relatively standard p1 could do in that heat (he is on P1woc)

had a great weekend shame about the poor turnout on the stand on the sunday ... i wanted to run mine up the strip (and probably could have got a better time than some of the other cars!) so many slow cars there this time! could have given the 28.3 second cossie a run for his money in my wagon
and for those who asked if we needed help with the exhaust thanx guys ... its stayed on for now! LOL what a way to leave

 

13.1 on a decat P1 is awesome time in that heat!
A lot has to do with the driver, too - I made a few mistakes as it's the first time I've run the 1/4 mile and was pretty nervous. Especially on my 16+ second run when it just bogged down totally in 1st and 2nd. Horrible!

i done a 13.4 on a decatted WRX import classic, first time on the strip, couldnt get my launches correct

 

Im hoping to do a RWYB day soon but looks like it could be september before i get chance as the other half wants to take his type r up the stripo so we both gonna do it together then swap for the last run
there were some good times specially that mini! he even beat his own personal best!
