Talking Quite quick

Well done to Barry Devlin who managed a very respectable 62.63 whilst the track was still wet and driving an almost standard MY99 UK Turbo.

Managed to sneak away from the relatives for a couple of hours in the afternoon and have to say it was the best SIDC event i've attended, beating the KH days outright from a spectators perspective.

Congrats to all who helped organise, it really was a great afternoon out. Also thanks to the sponsors who helped keep the event free.

Highlight for me was watching some of the pro's on the track especially Rob in the 02 STi. Tim, Emma and i were wondering just how much quicker your times were going to get as the track got drier and the day wore on.

Roll on the next one!

Kev, when you're on the Peterhead bypass again be sure to give it the full Blitz welly heading into the toon from the Waterside as my house backs onto the Broch road. Nothing better than hearing a Scooby blatting past.
Thanks for the advice you gave me about your exhaust when I met up with you outside Wallace Performance later on after Alford. Can't wait to get my Scooby.

Cheers

Dougster, Sarah and Carl thanks for the comments!
Had a great day as did everyone I've spoken to, weather turned out to be fine in the end which was a bonus.
The turn out was fantastic with I think 51 cars signing on for the track action, we should definitely make this annual event probably reducing the cars to 40 so more track action for all.
Sarah where exactly did John get his awesome jacket from??

Hey all.

Yep, good day out..... and absolute quality drive up from Edinburgh, reckon I'm gonna have to move the front mudflaps up a notch or 2 as they kept deckin out with the 'spirited blast' up the road!

Thanks to Johnny50 (and anti-lag), Spooks (and Ptnr), and Stiks (and family) for the meet at the FRB, was good to meet you guys.

Will keep my eyes peeled for any future get togethers in the area - with or without the Scooby!

Cheers for now

Thomo (& Bisra - just for you Spooks )

True true ! im not complaining anyway its part of the fun and was great crack - im trying to convince myself to drive to indy cars sales today

Maybe I should watch for red rovers with 600 bhp cause they have a backbox on !!!

Guy cut in front of us then waved to apologize, so G being ever the gentleman gave him a nice hand gesture and proceeded to un-settle the guy so bad he just had to take off !!

Talking Great Day

Many thanks to all involved- organisers, participants, spectators, and beer selling chap - for a great day.

Unfortunately the Tiger decided to leak fuel and I only got three runs, at least it mean I could sample the beer. It has given me a taste and liking for sprints, I can see me doing more in the future - any plans JohnS ?

Hello Halowrx,Paul, GeeWr1 and Little miss sti,

Hope you are all well and i was wondering what ever happened to you lot. Thanks for the day out and enjoyed myself despite the weather. Did you go to Aberdeen on the way home? Or Buckie? I made it home just in time for the end of the Alness car rally. Here is a wee pic of us lot. If it Works, All the best until next time Gary. Halo, Sorry i never had a chance to speak in homebase as i was on the phone to herself sorting out flooring. She got her own way in the end.

No probs mate I had herself in my ear about getting the drive sorted so ended up digging the whole lot up and putting more gravel down - and this is me off sick !

Mind u made progress on getting another motor..

We sort of went towards Buckie but went via Aberdeen roads - good crack tho shame the place was shut when got there, but saved my wallet and others - maybe we can organise another run soon ?

If u see a blue pug V reg waving its me by the way !

Hi jaqui
Wasn't just Stuart that though u were gonna cry, the look on your face when u realised it was shut Didn't mind the detour at all made the day out last longer which was good. Those extra miles have helped me reach the magic 1000miles car goes in at 2oclock today 4 its service. Give me a shout if u want 2 c what like it is above 4000rpm.
Don,t know what the tw*t in the rovers crack was , think he thought he was a bit of a hero overtaking 2 scoobs going at traffic speed. He cut me up & was very close, he then waved but could c big grin on his face in his mirror so flipped him the finger & then toyed with him till he took of in another display of bad overtaking .
Pmsl at paperatzzi comment but wasn't far of it, can't believe u cant go 2 petrol station without folk coming over.

Paul Wrx Sti,
Can't agree more with u mate about getting all the local cars together, its only lately that we've started meeting others from the area & theres plenty about.

Cheers Halo & McGary 4 the pics posted.
