I'll book the tee times next week - as I am not a member of Garons I can only book times 7 days before the day I intend to play on. Shouldn't be a problem though - never had a problem in the past booking double tee times.

Will pop over to the trophy shop tomorrow and sort some prizes out.

Prize categories to be announced next week!

7) Knowlsey

Will prob be able to get another few to make up the numbers unless any more peeps come forward.

All booked now - tee off times are ..
1) 11:50am
2) 11:57am

Trophies are going to be presented in the following categories:

1) Overall Champion
2) Nearest shot to the pin
3) Longest Drive
4) The worst score on the day (Bum round)

I suggest we meet at about 10:45 at the Mayflower McDonalds in Basildon (just down the same road that Poser's meet is on). We leave at 11 and can convoy down to Garons - leaves plenty of time to get changed and get on the putting green!

Hopefully we won't be worrying about the weather!!

Up to you mate ... no worries if not.

pmsl @ tiny down the range - bet you're like RB5 286 at bowling - 750yard drives!!

You might even be on my team mate - we are determining the teams by 'throwing the ***** up'

Bought a new secret weapon at the weekend - can't wait to get it out of the bag on Sunday!

James B says he's up for Sunday, though he thinks "in the rough" means shgging a minger.
Seeing as though Gangsta is a member of a golf course, they should pair off, me thinks.

1) Gangsta Smurf - 13 handicap
2) Phil Stephens - 26 handicap (yeh right!!!)??? (On Holiday)
3) Tiny - 26 Handicap ( Cough)
4) Hales - 26 Handicap ( didnt want to be left out )
5) Spally - 28 handicap (normally)
6) Cornelius - Once won third handicap trophy........at school
7) Knowlsey
8) James B

Thumbs up Agenda for the day

Right the competition we are going to play is called Texas Scramble. Teams will be of two players with 3/4 of the AVERAGE team handicap being taken as shots on the relevant stroke indexes ... i.e. 13 handicap and 28 handicap playing together - average handicap = 21, shots = 16 (all rounded up). These 16 shots will be taken on stroke indexes 1 through 16 (so basically this team will play 2 holes where they don't have any shots in hand on)

Every player will tee off from each hole with the team then selecting the shot they feel is more favourable. The player who's shot WAS NOT selected will then play the next shot. e.g. A and B tee off, A's tee shot is selected as more favourable so B will play the second shot. As an added stipulation a team must play on from 6 of the higher handicapers tee shots during the round.

Obviosely I will explain again on the day. Texas Scramble is a good game to play for fun, which is what we are doing ... as it relies heavily on teamwork and also means the higher handicap players can get advice from the lowers to improve their game.

Just a reminder also that JEANS and TRAINERS and T SHIRTS are not permitted on the golf course. You can wear them to the car park but must then change.

Looking forward to this big time, will be a lot of fun

Ok M8 Understand all that But,

Are we Going tro Score Points As Stableford Points then ?

i.e Par 4 With Stroke index say SI 1 Most teams Recieve 2 Shots, Making it in Theory a Par 6

Par Scores 2 Points
Birdie Scores 3 Points
Eagle scores 4 Points
Bogey scores 1 Point

You with me ??

For those who get a combined 3/4 handicap over over 18 (i.e. you'll be getting two strokes on Stroke Index 1 hole, i.e. the hardest on the course) you'll be theoretically teeing off at -2, so some big bandito points to be had! Or put it another way if you score 5 on the par 5 stroke index 1 hole then take the two shots off and you will have got an Eagle - so 4 points!!

I don't think any combined 3/4 handicaps will get more than 18 shots though so won't have to worry on that one!!

Tiny ... is Phil definately away on Sunday then? No problems in making up the numbers if he is!
