Also thinking of linking in one of the LRC100 (?)'s so I can open my garage door. Anyone got one of these? Does it satisfactorily open you garage door, and stuff?
Cheers,
Michael.

Will there be any of these left over? I see you have had a few drop out.
I can't make up my mind between this and the origin b2.
Can you link the road angel to a pc/palmtop for gps navigation?

Tandy,
You can link a road angel to a pda for sat nav - I've got the original one hooked up to an ipaq 2210 running TomTom software and it runs fine
There's something in Autoroute AFAIR to use a gps signal but I don't know the physical connection details etc.
Have a look on www.pocketgps.co.uk for info
and also, BTT for the G/B if there's going to be any of us left

There might be plenty of room left as I'm also wavering between a road angel and an origin b2 but am waiting to see about the "impending" pda lead before I make a final decision

It seems 1 or 2 are backing out +/or considering ORIGIN B2 ??
I also see a mention of problems with New Road Angel ?? Can anyone confirm this ?
So Question is ?..is the B2 a better bet ? I'm looking for a Detector that picks out all the latest Cameras/Speed Traps be they Mobile/Laser/Hand held/Specs anything out to get us !! and a Detector thats easy to install/operate/update etc...(same as most of you no doubt) + doesn't give lots of FALSE alarms !!
So lets have your thoughts/reccomendations/vote !! ......& WHEN will ordering commence..???...for either ????
Cheers all

From what I can gather from the lad at work who's on a CTR forum, some of the members have got them who've already got the original road angel and are wondering why they bothered upgrading for the additional extra features you get (clock, compass, voice prompt, rescue-loc etc) unless you are desperate to have any of them
I've asked him to try and find me some links to the "moans" but he says the forum went down a while back and lost a lot of threads
I don't think he meant problems as in not working but I''m trying to find out more...
I've got a classic road angel and haven't ad any problems with it's operation apart from a few niggles updating the database over the web but this was a lot easier when I finally went onto XP. The unit works great and it also gives out a signal for my sat nav / pda setup
