Tavia - presumably that's not a serious question, but just in case it was...

...there isn't a perspex intercooler guard (not that I know of anyway.) You can get wire mesh ones though...

Damn, so I was unwise to order the carbon fibre one, on the basis that it was lighter than the perspex you were all talking about!

Take the IC off and wash it through with a garden hose. I did when I put my Samco hoses on and had a nice pile of cooked & dead bugs on the lawn.

And its easier to do the fins with the IC on your lap watching tele

Use a pair of tights under the scoop.It won't hamper airflow by much and they are disposable,so no more cleaning.

I've found, as a Skoda driver, that it is better to let the intercooler brave the elements and wear the tights/stocking over your head to prevent recognition!
