The gym works for me Claire, but then most people view the gym as some kind of punishment, which i can understand if it's pursued without a training partner.
Alternatively, competitive sport sometimes hits the spot. Mix it up though, that's often the key if exercise doesn't come easily. Just don't jump into it at a level that you'll become disillusioned or bored with.

I have any part of £1,000 on that AB, whenever you're ready.
(Actually, i *did* arm wrestle for £1k once. Won, but let him off!).

I have a high stress job and was asked a few moths ago to take control of another department. The department in question is being run badly at present so I was going to be taking a lot of pain on and the department was outside my field of expertise. It would have meant another £4k a year but after 40% tax and other deductions it wasn't that good an offer. I have never before turned down a promotion or extra responsiblity so I was totatly unsure how to say thanks but no thanks without destroying anychance of future promotion.
Well the perfect excuse happened a few weeks later.
I had a heart attack at 35.
That was four weeks ago and I'm going to be off work a while yet. Work is definatly going to be second to my health when I go back.
Don't take crap from anyone at work it's just not worth it, enjoy life while your here, tell them to get their own photocopies.
I agree with the exercise comments though, it's somthing I had dropped of but I'll be getting a new bike when I'm fit enough.
Cheers
Lee
