overpriced scoobs
I'd say that money for a 93/94 is absolutely rediculous!
Garage end of my road have a mint STi 1 on an l plate, 50k, totaly standard in perfect condition. Price? screen price 6500. I phoned up enquiring what exact model and he said right away as I had looked at it already hed do it for 5900! So I woudl say it could be bought for 5500. For a mint L plate sti.

fair point sbout going to jap auctions but the problem is when these cars come to our jap auctions they dont have grading like the real jap auctions so these mostly tend to be the jap damaged repaired crap which is graded R there they aren't worth anything there so most of the cars in the auctions tend to be these hence so cheap. you dont want a car thats been in an accident and you dont even know do you!
Think it depends on the car, the mods, history etc when pricing older cars.
I had mine on for 7.5K for a 94 STI - only 100 of them. Mine has a load of upgrades and is in excellent condition, plus full engine rebuild at christmas to boot. 54K before rebuild, 55K now - with history, spares blah de blah. Problem is theres so many out there. Though I put mine at that price, I'd expect probably 6.5 - 7K salewise.
Guess, you get what you pay for with these. I tried a load of imprezas prior to mine and they all drove like wet kippers. You cant judge a car on price alone. If your regular at impreza spotting you can eliminate the crap from the good.
