SMACS to the NBO
I'm in negotiation with johnwrx at the mo' for a more interesting route to the nbo, rather than just doing motorway "A" road there.

big thanks ***** for fitting my stereo over the last 2 days, sounds awesome
just need a baseball cap and some garage/house music to play now

try and persuade the missus to come to the M6 services meet, it will be brilliant, and like john says, nice and steady to the nbo after.

Had a vomit experience on way back from Gatwick yesterday - "Dad, I am going to be s............ Ooooops, too late!". So, snails pace for me I am afraid!
Right-oh, we all set for Sunday then?
Charnock Richards Services is where I'm aiming for. Can't find the thread about timings now that there's about two dozen NBO threads, but I heard it was 8:30 from the services. Anyone confirm this? I'm at Sandbach, so going straight up the M6 early enough to arrive in plenty of time. What route are the rest of you taking?

Dave, we are all at the mercy of Mr "Missed the first junction to last years NBO", CW42, so your guess is as good as mine.
I should be @ H&H, but lets hope I still have some strength left in my arms to steer the car after today's cleaning and polishing extraviganzer(?). I knew I should have got you to do it *****.

Hope you guys had a good day today, had to get off and didn't see you after you'd gone into the park.
Sorry about getting a bit lost at the end of the convoy, but you can't argue with the size of the convoy and managing to get them all through the roundabouts and roadworks
Great day out, and loads of money raised for cancer research.
Thanks to andy_s and supertouring for putting money up for our new banner, which is rather cool
anyone fancy a run out on wedneday?
chris.

Top day out Chris, I had to bugger off mid afternoon so didn't see anyone to say bye, but I had a fantastic day. Trip up was certainly exciting, that many scoobs in a convoy is certainly a sight to behold. Looking forward to seeing some of Johns camcorder footage
Not to worry about getting us a bit lost, I think its become a SMACS tradition now hasn't it? Especially liked the doubling back when we were about a mile from lightwater, only to have to turn around again
All good fun.
Next year??

I saw you heading off dave, glad to hear you had a great day, that convoy was someting else
It certainly is a SMACS tradition, and who am I to buck the trend

There's nothing worse though than having to do a u turn, and watching everyone curse as you drive back up the line

Full marks to CW for getting the entire convoy (how many cars?) to Ripon without loosing a single one.
Worse point was when he dived into a petrol station at short notice leaving me at the front with no idea where I was going and 20+ cars behind following me! At least I managed to find a dead-end for everyone to turn around in.
