No rush fella. There's still some WR1's not yet delivered and many of them are owned by non-enthusiasts who don't come here. Also, I think a lot are owned by people who have transferred their own plates on, and so there will be a need for new plates when they sell and transfer it to their next vehicle. They're good plates, ideal for the car and I'm sure someone will want them sooner or later. If not, so be it. Nothing ventured and all that. I'm probably putting the 52 one on my own car soon anyway.

Just seen a couple of other WRxx ONE plates advertised at http://www.dvla-som.co.uk/home/en is the 53 significant to Subaru in any way as the ones left are 02 & 51 ?

Cheers

Not really. The only significant thing is that there are only 8 variants, to 500 WR1's. 01, 51, 02, 52, 03, 53, 04, 54. There's quite a lot who don't qualify for 54 as their cars were registered prior to august 04, making these plates very exclusive for the money.

The plates you mention on DVLA are rather expensive compared to the two I have for sale. Feel free to make an offer if you're interested.

Unfortunately I haven't got a WR1 so it is of no use to me, I was just curious.
Good luck

Yup, twice. No bids 1st time and nowhere near the reserve or BIN the second Now considering pulling them off sale and waiting 'til the WR1's drop onto the 2nd hand market where some will be sold without peoples "personal" plates and others with standard plates so the new owners may wish to personalise. I may even get one myself, but the plate isn't the reason. The way insurance companies seem to be clamping down on even the most basic mods (PPP ) I can see it being the only way to get an STi set up anywhere near how I want without an annual shafting. Just have to live with the colour, and yippee, I've already got a plate for it.

For the time being I'm putting one on my WRX. May as well use it as a mobile advert, and get some use out of my investment
