Hi Keigo,

I understand there are two cheques to be cleared by Monday 14th June and Ray will then transfer all the funds to me in one go. Once the funds are received the order will be placed and an ETA given but as a rough guide it will about 4 weeks from when payment is received by myself (as advised in the begining of this thread). However, please be rest assured I will get these out to everyone earlier

Please feel free to let me know if you need any further information.

Thank you in advance for your understanding,
Simon

Hi Everyone,

The money had been transfered by Ray when said and received by myself on the 19th June...I was checking the wrong account number.....DOH

Anyway, no time has been lost as the pedals were ordered when Ray told me he had transferred the funds last week.

I'll give everyone a delivery update later this week.

Sorry

You're a proper geezer Simon , your efforts will be greatly appreciated by all of us!!

If anyone can find a link to fitting instructions it would be kinda nice.

Make sure you wrap mine nice and tight.

If you've got a classic fitting is a piece of cake (if I can do it, anyone can).

It's a few bolts to fit the footrest, clutch and brake pedal, gas pedal fits over the existing pedal and a pin fits through the back.

Think Simon posted a diagram a few pages back.

Cheers

Chris

Lightbulb Quick Instructions

Quick Instructions:

Old pedals

There is no particular order to which to fit the STI pedals, the subaru mechanic pictured here started with the foot rest.

Unbolt/unscrew the foot rest back plate that is affixed to the floor and completely remove plate so that the new one provided with the STI pedals can be fitted.

Fit the STI foot rest onto the STI foot rest plate

Secure STI foot rest onto the floor

Remove the clutch and the brake pedals. This can be done by wedging flat screw driver (or similar tool) between the pedal covers and the metal of the clutch and brake pedals and pry open the moulded grips as they are clamped very tightly on (need a to be quite forceful)

The STI clutch and STI brake pedals are identical and will be fitted in the same way. Fix one side of the back-clip onto the STI clutch or STI brake pedal (back-clip is illustrated in the instructions that’s included with the pedals) and then position it ready for fixing. When in position simply tighten the screw with the back-clip of STI pedal clamped onto the car clutch or brake pedals (it’s late and I might not be making sense!)

Lastly and the most tricky, the gas pedal.
Unbolt and remove the pin at the back gas pedal and place the STI gas pedal directly on top of the existing gas pedal (no need to remove existing pedal). Using the longer pin supplied with the STI pedals, secure the STI pedal into place (pin must use the same holes existing pedal). This might take a bit of time because it is a real tight fit.

Note:
The screws and bolts used for the STI pedals are very clearly marked and easy to follow. The above is just to give you a rough idea of how the fitting is carried out.

Anyone wanna flog me their old WRX pedals? STi ones a bit too expensive this month even at the reduced price due to insurance for both cars needing renewed! Must be a good few sets heading for the skip after this

The gas pedal doesn't come off so you'd only get footrest, clutch and brake which would probably look a bit crap

LOL@ Chris

OK, update everyone:

I didn't send out the pedals because I found that I was 3 sets short when I unpacked them and had been trying to find out what happened with my Subaru supplier in Japan. Anyway this is between my supplier and myself but the 3 missing sets will be here with me in a little over a week and so I didn't want to do anything until I had sorted it out. I will send most of them out to everyone tomorrow (if not all) so expect them to arrive sometime next week. For the last 3 sets I can only apologise for them being late!

With best regards,
Simon
