Scoobies - getting too common?
They are not that common I see quite a few new shapes about 9 out of 10 are standard WRX only seen a few STi's.
I find there are not many R-Reg onward classics about lots of older ones though.
But I wouldnt say they were any more popular than say any other performance car like a Civic type r or Leon Cupra.
It's a case of you notice more of a car when you are looking out for them if you werent interested in scoobies you wouldnt notice many.

MrkLaw - Of course they are popular here - that's not what I am saying. What I am saying is that when Scoobynet started and some of us started buying them there was no alternative, atleast that had similar pace for the money. They humbled supercars. But now with Civic Type Rs, Clios, Focus RS etc etc there are plenty of alternatives. Also 6 secs to 60mph is just not that quick anymore. Plenty of family saloons get close to that. So now the Scooby is only one of a few rather than 'The Car'.

Come back, and there's a older WRX parked in the car park of the flat...
Crikey... I guess the MY93 etc prices are now at a state where most people can afford.
Are they losing their wow factor now? You hardly ever see an Evo on the road.
Still no putting me off, but it's a little disappointing.

Very few cars rust away anymore and it's not as if Subaru haven't sold the odd Impreza or two over the years.
I still reckon there's something about the classic shape that's - well erm.. classic
. It's positively lean compared to the later models.J.
