Confusion rules!!!!!!!!!!
let me try to sort some of this lot out.
Firstly, my brakes are the ones in the pics without the wheels on, with black and white calipers. To go under 16' my00 wheels.
I am 99% certain that you won't get a 335mm disc under a 16' wheel, no matter what wheel it is.
When Ian said that the caliper is only 14mm bigger, I think he meant the disc, and therefore if you think about it, that means moving the caliper out a mere 7mm. Therefore there isn't enough room to move it, and get a bolt and bracket to hold it on. Yikes!
I don't know whether Ian can do a set-up using other calipers, with bigger discs to fit under 16's, I would doubt it, as the fixing would (in my eyes) still be a problem.
I would say that the best option, will always be to use a Subaru caliper, that way it makes silly things like getting pads etc, easier.
To paint my calipers, I just used Smoothrite out of a can, and then wiped the paint off of the wording with thinners.
Any more queries?
Ron
p.s. brakes working better each time I use them!

Hi guys,
These godspeed brakes sound pretty good !
As I'm in the market for some new'uns can anyone offer a wee bit of advice?
Basically I have a 93 WRX, which has the worse brakes I've ever used in my entire life fitted to it, they're warped like buggery and jiggle the steering wheel during even one steep stop from like 100 or so !
My scoob#s got 16" 5 spoke wheels (STi ones I think..with the silver centre caps with subaru written in them) and fully standard brakes.
Should I get aftermarket new discs (non-subaru) and some second hand 2 or 4 pots and new pads? I'm on a bit of a budget unfortunately so cheapest way of getting decent stoppage is all I need really.
I'd appreciate any help
cheers,
Alex

the first thing you should do is get yourself a set of four pot calipers and discs etc, then, when you've worn them out cahnge the discs and pads for a sensible set-up, my godspeed discs, bells and pads cost a mer £450, which is comparible to most other uprated disc and pads options, and (hopefully) better!
Braided hoses is always a good idea as-well as decent fluid!

Enrique , Parcelfore have confirmed that your parcel has been received in Spain , I will speak to them today again to try and find out what the problem with getting them delivered to you is ,I'm sorry for the problems but once a parcel has left us we have no control of it , I will mail you direct today with some answers .
I got my words muddled up the other day , yes what I meant to say was the discs are only 14mm bigger so the caliper only comes out 7mm , not enough room for a bracket , thanks for explaining that Ron , The 335mm kit will not fit under 16" wheels , The biggest kit we do for 16" wheels is our 308mm kit , Either with our own steel calipers or Brembo or AP alloy calipers , The lug mounts on these caliper are completely different to the Subaru four pots so we can fit brackets in , If you have the Subaru four pot calipers and 16" wheels the biggest discs you can fit is 294mm which is the standard size , We can offer these in a one piece disc or a disc and bell which is what Ron has fitted , the photo's with the black calipers are 294mm discs and bells , The photos with the gold calipers is our 335mm kit for 17" wheels , Hopefully this will make it a bit clearer , if you need any more info please ask , Cheers , Ian

I just thought I'd keep everyone up to date,
The brakes are working very well, don't seem to fade, (I haven't pushed them that hard yet).
I'm going to Castle combe on sept 1st for an action day, so I'll use them then for sure!

Ron,
It's been a while since my post, but ta for the advice.
Think I'll get some Godspeed discs and pads first, then when some second handers come up get some 4-pot scooby cals. Then eventually like you say upgrade to bigger discs...phew lots of cost there it's gonna be a while !
Anyone with second hand 4-pots out there!!
cheers All

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!
I 'did' Castle Combe today, I did 2 five lap sessions, I found the brakes to be nearly as effective at the end of each session as they were at the start.
I would also say that if I were doing a 'full' trackday I would feel happier with a little more braking, but then saying that, it was very warm today, hence lots of grip, and therefore maybe they'd be ok in 'normal' british weather!
Ron
ps, no fade! or warping, and they got damn hot!
