Chris, im pretty sure your the person who least needs his name written across his head

Guys what the deal with spectators, Just that the missus is mithering me to ask, ive said she'll be bored after about an hour but shes a determined little thing!!. She'd also like to bring along the little fella as he is scooby mad, but i know a lot of places dont allow under 16's or was it 12's?!?!?

Mark

p.s. Chris where did you get that helmet, Ive got the use of a motorbike helmet but it looks very bulky compared to your one.

spectators no problem just make sure the little fella does not run on the track!

Chris got his helmet from Demon Tweaks for the princely sum of £46.75 (which he still owes me as well as Beefy) LOL.

Looks good CW, but shouldn't the CHRIS be printed backwards so that you can see it when you look in the mirror?

Sunday 8th August.
Mid Cheshire Motor Club Sprint is at Curborough. I'll be there in the Pug 205, and with the Escort MK1. Hopefully the rain will stay away and I'll be trying quite hard to catch that pesky MK1.

As usual the Escort will be driven in its style (sideways) especially if we get chance to do some play runs which don't count towards the Championship.

Cheers.

Apologies for the hi-jack !

PMSL ~ I wish I had some top tips... I might be doing better in the championship !

My only info is that there is no best line around Fradley Hairpin... it has about 3 apex's and no matter what your in (unless its the MK1 'scort) it will under steer like a pig.

*apologies image blatently nicked from www.curborough.co.uk

Do you time each run as we would on the sprint from the timing hut to the finish line at the end of the straight ?

blackscooby, we use the best timing equipment there is:
a waved flag to start and a mobile phones stopwatch to finish
very technical
do you have to pay to come watch on sunday?
may pop down in the afternoon.

I've entered Harewood on the 29th August.

I've tonnes of video to upload to my website yet. Working in Kenya has put a downer on much of my season, but I'm back in the UK tomorrow (7th) ~ HURRAY

Competed at Loton on Sat 10th July and that was fantastic. Loton is an ace Hillclimb. I wasn't at the National event at Harewood, can't be arsed wiith that event as there's tonnes of waiting around.

To come I've got Harewood, Thorsby Park and a 3 Sisters sometime.

Being in Kenya the net access is crap.. when is your Curborough outing ?
(I guess your full ~ but worth asking)
....... Any chance of a play ?

Cheers

Mark

I'm not going to be going until mid-morning, as I'm not getting back from hols until around 1am the night b4
Last time we convoyed down, and met beefy and steelx at a greasy spoon not far from the circuit.
Don't see why that couldn't happen again, it was a nice bacon butty to start the day
chris.

TYRES TYRES TYRES
I'm gonna need some new ones after this, anybody want to give me details if there in the same position, and I can approach my local dealer for some new toyos.
I fancy having a go with the new proxes t1-r, which are a little dearer than "s", but meant to be more grippy, and last longer
I've got 215/40/17's for around £85 each before now, so if we can do a few sets, should be around that price.
Let me know,
chris.

Cheesy, when I get the circuit details I`ll see what I can plan

CW, yes I could well be up for a set of tyres...
I`ve found a place in Trafford park(they do mobile fitting too) that was doing Goodyear F1`s for £89 or so....
I can ask them too... see if we can play one tyre place off from the other eh?

f1's for £89 is a good deal, they normally retail over £100 at least!
Once we have details of how many and sizes, then we can play, maybe even get a northern group buy going
chris.
