Impreza The new boy racer car
My original message was all about the impreza becoming a boy racer car.
If I bought an STI 4 a few years back it would of been looked at different, because your average boy racer coulden't afford one.
Also the impreza was more rare than it is today.
To your avarage guy on the street all imprezas look the same from your STI to the sport version.
And dont tell me everyone thats written on here dosent like to turn heads while driving there Impreza.Thats called image.

Thought I was on the Nova forum for a minute there. Fair enough not a good idea to come on a Scoobie forum & say a Cossie is better but as to the replies - well a bit over the top.
I've had 3 scoobs - will be trading in the 3rd one on Monday as I'm doing too many miles and a large repair bill is looming. Will probably get another in a years time but can't believe the stick being dished out cos he dared to say its becoming a car that boy racers can now afford.
Where I live oldies drive Scoobs due to the awd, middle aged (like me) and now a few younger guys who used to have fiestas/corsas etc. If you like it , drive it - if you don,t buy something else but surely everyone is allowed an opinion without getting abuse.
Alas

as i said in a previous post, this is not about cossies vs scoobys
thats been done to death and i would belive that everybodys sick of it
the slatings came from the original poster posting a blatent trolling post
personally i couldnt give a flying **** who drives the same model car as me

I'm confused! Why did he sell the escort? He says he's had the scoob less than 2 months and it's ''becoming more popular to see boyracers in Scoobys'' Did they know he was getting one and in the last few weeks decide in their masses to buy Scoobys just to pi55 him off? (Seems to imply that obviously he wouldn't have bought one if he'd seen boyracers in them beforehand) If ''a few years back....your average boyracer couldn't afford one'' and ''the Impreza was more rare than it is today'' why did AndrewB wait until now to get one? ''don't tell me everyone that's written on here doesn't like to turn heads while driving their Impreza. That's called image!'' erhh, was this the reason for buying a Scoob, his escort not turning enough heads for him?
Just curious.
Just curious.
just wanted to say,im 28 and ive been fortunate enough over the course of time to own and drive a varied selection of quick cars but nothing ever has compared to the scooby ( sti u.k.), and im sure everyone who owns one smiles driving it knowing they have a RELIABLE perfomance car. also we may intend to drive these cars like boy racers occasionaly but that is what we pay our money for !!
Careful about bandying that term " reliable " around here, mate, it's all relative, unless you own a Toyota or Lexus. Having said that, even Skodas are more reliable than Fords these days( and more desirable!).
mate you say you want a cossie coz its less boy racer thats the funniest thing I have heard in years. The cossie is the ultimate boy racer car all you have to do is look at the rear wing to see that motorworld springs to mind.
Go get your cossie mate and see all the Nova and Saxo drivers stop and speak too you have fun at the car cruises down tesco car park haha.

Sorry to hear you dont enjoy the scoob..... There are a few options available to you!
- either mod your car to increase BHP over 300 or go get a Focus
(you know the one)
Personally stick with the scoob for a while
All the best

"I can only but feel like a boy racer as now it is becoming more popular to see boy racers in scoobys"
Well maybe in a car from the mid nineties (sub 5k)...in the realms of affordability for the chav brigade. However you can be sure it aint well looked after (like the majority of cars owned on by posters on this board) or properly insured ( like all the cars owned by those on here).
Cossie - nice ( if vulgar) fast car from yesteryear. Still a ford though... and almost everthing from that stable is tainted by the blue oval badge of mediocrity.
Bye Bye now dagenham boy.
