Being an ex ford man i love the cosworths but i drive and love the impreza also, you have your opinions as do everyone else but where you went wrong is airing your opinions in public to a forum that holds the impreza very highly and for that you deserve all the flak you get m8,on a lighter note u knew you would get a reaction from your post, you got your reaction so shut the door and heres your coat!!!!

All these type of cars go through this "affordable" stage, but the the classics soon pull through the faze and emerge at the other end. The scoob is an icon. Nuff said.

Max

Oh, just to add - you got what you asked for with a post like this on a forum like this . Turn the lights off on the way out, there's a good lad!!

Jesus,

Andy, you are somewhat new to this forum lark and "PARTICULARLY" this one. I would say you have got off lightly mate.

I have owned RS500 Cosworths, Escort RS Turbo's, BMW E36 M3, all nice cars but nothing, absolutely nothing could have prepared me for the STI8 PPP (MY03). Dude, seriously, drive something you can compare it to. A scooby is a formidable car is ANY guise, PPP or not, standard or not.

I love mine to death and will defend it tooth and nail and sometimes (rarely) will cencede to other more superior vehicles. The Cossie is not one of those vehicles and I speak from experience.

Good luck in your next life as a dung beetle.

with warmest regards

Come on guys. Honestly think you are being a bit rough on him, especially the threads that are downright rude and vulgar.
He hasn't risen to the bait like some of you. He spoke his mind in a reasonable tone, and although neither I or anyone else agrees, he should be allowed that privilage.
Give him a break!

should start a poll, scooby or cossie. dont think it would be much of a contest on here

Do you think he'll be able to crack this coded argument against him?
Come on guys, don't hold back will you, just say what you think!

Funniest thread I've read in ages, except for the one we took the p**s out of the feds on.

Shut up C.

So am I a boy racer because I have a scooby that I bought at 24????
Am I f*ck.

Pointless comments and comebacks because it's bloody idiots like this who stereotype young drivers.
Just my two-penneth.

p.s. I don't like baseball caps or beanies, but what does that matter, I am younger and therefore will do 150mph in a town centre to impress the saxo mob. While I am here, I was thinking of having my name and my missus in the windscreen strip, what do you all think to that idea, cool or what!!??

Now THAT'S sarcasm!

Thumbs up

AndrewB- For what it's worth I actually agree.

The way the "immortal" Impreza has been defended here is slightly embarrassing.

Had a saph cossie 4wd andy rouse version running about 300bhp about 6yrs ago (when i WAS a BOY RACERas i was 18), it blew the engine once (total rebuild), so i got sick of it & sold it, missed it until i got my 1st scoob (7 wks ago) & in comparision the scoobs way better (MY04 Sti).

Just my 2p,s worth

Ps Escort cossies are minging, its an ESCORT after all

PPS seeing as i am 24 does that make me a boy racer ......... if it does **** off back to dagenham

And that's the average level of intelligence too.

I shan't bother with a retort in case you spill your Farleys Rusks.

Why is everyone slating the original poster????? Does anybody deny that scoobies are now cheap as chips, and you see tons of chavscum types driving them , complete with essential gold chain and burberry hat.

Thats not to say that scoobies arent great cars but they ARE common and they ARE attracting a new breed of chav-scummy owners.

Forget Escort Cossies...get a nice evo

What I think the thread originator is probably disappointed with is that he can't pull any old loose slappers now he has a decent car, just women with a bit of class.

If you're not happy with it sell the ******. I hear they're doing impressive deals on new Ka's now.

It's got nothing to do with whether a Scoob, Evo, Skyline is better than each other but everything to do with sheitting on your own doorstep.
