are there different shades of anthracite on the wrc1 wheel? Coz some cars which have the p1 wheel seem to differ?? Unless its juss camera angles n the amount of light but ive seen them vary from a nice anthracite to an extremely dark one, wish i could post pics for sumone to understand what i'm saying, once you can clarify this i'm ready to buy mate, coz i prefer the slitely lighter shade unless theres only one shade for both p1 wheel n wrc1 wheel then its all good.......

I think you'll need to register on the RB5 OC forum first and once the account is activated, then you can post on the list. That's what I had to do anyway.

Stefan, have you managed to get a quote for delivery to Scotland? I fancy new wheels but having to arrange delivery is putting me off.

No, not yet but it shouldn't be any dearer than a delivery in England unless you're in the middle of nowhere (Aberdeen, Dundee, etc.. )

I'd better check first, but the wheels should still be cheaper than a Dealer.

No mate i'm in South Lanarkshire. I was at my local dealer today trying to see if they would match the prices for the wheels. They said they would get back to me. I doubt they will be able to match it though.

Question

Mark,

That's all well and good, but you approximated each wheel at 15kg. All the options on that site are for weights well below 60kg (i.e. set of 4 wheels).

Are we really missing something obvious or are you suggesting we send each wheel individually

Looking at the options, you could send 2 wheels on the Express Heavey Parcel service for £15.95.

This would work out at £31.98 to deliver 4 wheels.

OK, I've had a reply from PostVan. It's £41.95+VAT to collect all 4 wheels @ 60kg. They suggested sending either individual wheels or in pairs.

Mark, I'm up for a set of the PFF-7s in British Pewter (kev..p1woc )

I don't want to throw a spanner in the works but these are only available in +51 offset so will be 2mm wider in reality. I have spoke to a lad that has these on his P1 about rubbing and he mentioned that they do rub if the car is fully loaded and cornering enthusiastically. Best this being mentioned now to avoid any complications further down the line.

Also they should be cheaper to post as they are 19.8 pounds = 9Kg.

Yes, you're right it's best getting the details correct before any of us spend this sort of money.

Mark,

Can you confirm what offset these wheels are available in and if they will fit a classic?

I've had feedback from Mike Wood from Prodrive about these. He says they are an 18"x8 wheel and that they two options are fit the PFF-7's and have them fit the arches or use the WRC-1 18" P1 wheel.

I'm having some P1 suspension fitted to my car in a few weeks, so I'm not sure what to do know. I very rarely have the car fully loaded and when I do I don't drive the car hard.

Kev,

Who was the lad with the P1 that's reported them rubbing?

8 x 18, ET50 and 225's will rub on a Classic, so ET51 or ET46 certainly will.

See http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthrea...ht=compomotive

215's on an 8 inch look pants as they are stretched far too much (will still probably rub too).

A lad is selling his P1 on P1woc.co.uk with these on HERE(nice pics). I asked him a few questions regarding the fitment and he said they were fine except the rubbing if fully loaded when cornering hard.

ET51s should be further away from the wheel arch than ET50s. ET46 are out of the question for a classic

Ok Mark. thanks for asking. I'll take my name off the list. Its a pity as they all come from japan/Italy.

I'll see if I can get anything from the USA. Sorry to barge in this GB and **** it all up.

Thanks Kev.

I'm still confused though. Martin says that Bright Flitter is only available in ET46, yet that P1 has Bright Flitter wheels fitted

Yea, that got me too Ozzy. The only size I can find these wheels is on a +51 offset.

Some links. (Mostly American as there isn't much info over here)

ALL are 51 offset.???? It must be said though that this is an excellent price from Mark (RB5 286) as even Kastle Korner are quoting £816

unfortunately due to some reason, maybe because we're british!!!!

the 51 offset wheels as the usa & japan prodrive website illustrate are unavailable to dealers over here, they are made in japan but not imported here.

I have been speaking to a guy at Prodrive USA about a set of wheels that i have seen and desire on the US prodrive site, again unavailable to us UK, un-important people.

He will ship them over here but by the time w****kers, erm i mean customs add their percentage who knows what the total cost would be.

it seems that we arent allowed the decent stuff over here.

another point, on ebay last week a subaru owner was selling a set of bright flitter Pff7's ET51 and he was in the UK

I'm just mythed at this, the same as u guys are.

i have tried contact mike wood but had no luck, its easier to contact some1 in the states 8hrs behind!!!!

FFS!!!

I have PM'd him to see if he knows what offset they are.
