PPP V's Standard ECU

Incidently, PPP + decat doesn't always lead to problems. One more thing; peak boost for me is more like 18psi, not 16/17 as quoted in my earlier post. I obviously don't spend enough time looking at my boost gauge when giving it some.

would you advise me to drill the brass tee out to 1.3mm immediatly or wait to see how it performs
should have read this post before buying downpipe
Well I have a H&S open neck Decat D/P to go back on and have the correct sized restrictor in readiness......if I were you I'd do the decat and see how the car runs - I assume you have a Knoclink and Boost Gauge ?
I got this answer back from Mike Wood http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthrea...light=prodrive about putting on a Prodrive d/pipe (essentially a "decat" in terms of flow).
I presume the same issues about charge temps and injectors maxing out are valid for classic PPPs having a decat fitted?
Has anyone who put a decat and restrictor on a PPP then checked out the car setup properly on a rolling road, to check that they aren't sailing too close to the wind, or just relied on the car "feeling" OK?
