No way Tim!! Gutted too - I can't believe they have the ignorance to do this. I'm sure they hope this is quick way out of it and you'll disappear.
You have a duty to take these idiots to tribunal and screw them. This is clearly the actions of a firm who hasn't got a clue about a) employee relations b) employment law c) truth and fiction.
Please don't let them get away with this - it really is outrageous.

So, a chav family trespass on private property, cause (or are about to cause) criminal damage, you take steps to prevent this, the police get involved and take no further action, and you end up losing your job .
Screw them! What act of gross misconduct did you commit?

If the CCTV tape is still around, it should be possible to disprove their reason.
Hope it works out for you and that even if you no longer want to work for them you can come out of this with a few quid and some bad publicity for the employer.

Tim- Do not, repeat do not let this drop. I'm half inclined to apply to that American show to have plastic surgery to make myself look like you so I can fight it.
As above, let us know you have got legal representation ready.
p.s I'm only joking about the plastic surgery because I'm way to good looking to risk becoming a hobbit.

Tim,
It may not feel like it but this is probably the best thing that could have happened to you, you just don't know it yet. Get the solicitor on the case. I reckon you are looking at £10 - £15K minimum
Good Luck - And sue the wnaker parents of the pikey chavs.
Bastads.
How about a Scooby drive by of the premises of this company. And the snotty nosed oiks homes also.
I'd be up for it - Who's with me - Dunkirk Spirit and all that.!!!!

I can't believe it!
Have been following this from the start. It's surprising how ignorant your former employers have been. Not much I can say to help, just echo what the others have said, get a good lawyer and take them to the cleaners.
Good luck and all the best for the future.
Oh and don't forget to sue for stress

You don't mention if you have the right to appeal your employer's decision. The manner in which your employer is handling this whole saga appears to contravene some employment laws as I understand them.
What did your lawyer say your chances were of a successful outcome to your case?

Gus,
The letter advises me I have the right to appeal in writing within 7 days to the MD...
The solicitor has said the appeal is just for procedure they rarely U-turn their original decision, it's a must to appeal prior to a tribunal..
will have a new solicitor hopefully on Monday Will have a busy week coming, bit of a shock to the system after being on 'holiday' for 5/6 weeks
Also..
Found out they sent a motorcycle courier round on Tuesday to request the Domain Admin p/words whilst I was out.
hence the cryptic text message I recieved the day before..
After a chat last night with one of the good guys there, turns out the Chap investigating told him he was satisfied the extreme insulting behavour allegation was a load of rubbish as of mon/tues and I would be back at work if I gave them the domain admin p/words (that I dont have), as I was'nt in, they have taken it as me withholding property etc.. <edit> and used the original allegation as a smoke screen for the real reason I'm out.. which is'nt my problem as I was'nt on site when they locked themselves out their own system yet all the paperwork was...
Makes me angry the more I think about it had a headache all day
ffs not exactly hard getting domain access for 2k/2003 is it! certainly dos'nt warrant all this delay and faffing about.
Anyway getting more inside info later over a pint..
Thanks everyone gonna go and wash all the bird poo of my scoob
Will post up the big statement later should explain things quite nicely

Haven't read this for a few days now and have just updated myself on everything. As I had suspected they were intent on firing you and this has now been confirmed. Just do what you need to do and take these scumbag ex-employers of yours for all their worth!
...it's been a "HAVING A REAL REAL BAD DAY...!!!"
Good luck Tim!

Hi Tim,
Just want to wish you all the best with your case. Be truthful, honest and straightforward. Get as much info as you can about the (ex)employer's case and use the evidence to discredit it. Talk it through with your lawyer before you get to court and work as a team to take the employers to the cleaners.
G.

Go to a tribunal.. (they know its on the cards then)
Anyway my man on the inside is going to have words with the guy investigating and the security guard tommorw...
Also they are now infected with various virus's and still having major network issues.. bugger!
My headache has gone now after a pint lol!

Truly surprised at the outcome of this.
This being the internet & all that, so excuse me for being a bit paranoid... what exactly did you say to the scum that was targetting your car ? Don't take this personally OK, but either you really lost it, or your (ex) company is thick as mud.
What is worse though is that they stopped communicating.
Anyway, my gut feeling is that you are upfront, and I do feel for you. All this "take them to the cleaners" stuff aside, you probably must feel ****ty about the way you were treated.
So, best of luck.
