Scoobdoo
What power are u expecting??
as you may yet win given I've not had chance to uprate the Turbo on the car yet and have remapped to Unleaded........ for track day use..... should still be a 'nice' power figure though!!

Let me start by saying, and I think I am speaking for everyone now, that our leader Colin was sadly missed at this event, without him we didnt have anyone to shout and take the pi$$ out of people!! Only kidding, get well soon Col.
We had fifthteen runners all together, mostly scoobies, but an evo (very poorly), two beemers and a, ahem say it quietly, Vauxhall Cavelier ( a powerhouse of a car, very bravely run by Caroline)
I am sure Chris Garner will be quick to apoligise for not turning up for the bumpsteer mod!! We wouldn`t have teased you about wiping out the escort on your timed run at the rally training, honest! Well maybe just a little.
In true eurovision stylee, the results in reverse order were as follows!
In joint 15th & 14th place were two 318i BMW`s with 134 bhp each
In 13th place was the powerhouse Cavelier SRi with a respectable 150 bhp
In 12th place was Luke and his black wagon with 208 bhp
11th place was john in his Evo with 240 bhp
10th place Was Justin uk2000 with decat with 240.5 bhp! (above the evo by 0.5bhp!, an inch is as good as a mile!)
9th place with 243 bhp was Matt with his PPP classic imp
8th place in this highly emotional group was Dale with 243.5 bhp (did somebody say knats whisker)
7th place with 246 bhp was Jim decat and filter
6th place with 262 bhp was Ben who was having a few problems on the day, better luck next time buddy.
5th place with 285 bhp was Shaun and his Cosworth pistons & Methanol!!
4th place with 293 bhp and perhaps the cleanest car, almost concors de elegance standard was Tris!
3rd place with 298 bhp was Lee wrx.co.uk, filthy car mate, you should spend some time cleaning it up next time!!!
2nd place with 323 bhp was steve in his modified sti V5, well done that man.
Can I just say before the winner is announced that we all had a fantastic day and everyone was extremely friendly and were always quick to take the pi$$!!, remember, whatever your place on the podium of power..... make sure you bring more power next year!! Not more Octane boost Shaun!!
Finally, the result for the winner of the 2004 Duracell bhp cup went to
.

Fuzz with a mighty 365.5 bhp, lovely engine bay, you could eat your dinner off it, possibly fry an egg and some of the hot bits! Well done mate, you can see you are proud of your mods and as reverand Bob would say respect due, and respect is definately granted!!
Well done to the driver of the Ferrari 360 on the way home, he opened it up in the saltash tunnel, ohh what a noise, I thought a boxer engine sounded good in a tunnel, but frick me the ferrari sounded awesome.
Technology got the better of him though, I overtook him a past a speed camera that was not working, buy yourself a radar detector, it opens up a new world of overtaking opportunitys!
Cheers
Tris

Well done for taking the helm mate, you did a great job
Nice to have met you guys, I was dissapointed in my power figure, I'm looking into the problems I had, hopefully sorted soon.
Anyway thanks again for organising this Colin, and thanks again for taking the helm at the last minute Tris
See you all next time,
Ben.

Got to admit it was a good day
Though I'm sure I must have had my air-con on, which would give me an extra 1 bhp and leap into 7th place
Also glad to see you managed to keep up with me and the Ferrari on the way home Tris (though I must admit his blonde passenger may have slowed him down a bit - at least he didn't have the roof off, else that would have messed up her hair I'm sure
)

Think at least the mystery of my power (Powerstation were a little surprised - but then so was I) showing has maybe been aswered........ as Fuzz kindly discovered the Heat Sensor had almost stuck to the downpipe - its is possible that the ECU compensated by addign a lot more fuel and on 740cc injectors
The sensor still works!! - but has been moved - my fuel economy is now looking normal (usually dont notice it) - but I get no pops and bangs anymore in teh exhaust which is a shame!!
