Question

Andy,

I was supposed to get mine delivered to me on Thur, instead got a call from Carma saying they got the wheels from the supplier but with YOKO 520's , I said no ta m8! so I am still waiting. But know I have a good mind to cancel as I want the 18's what tyre do you think I should get on them so they don't rub on the rear arch?? I don't rate Pereli P.0's. And do you know what they charge for the 18's ?? and when are they out???

18" are not out until May and the only tyre option people recomend is PZero.

I thought they were supposed to be Toyo's like mine. They should be able to get them fairly quickly.

According to Scoobymania's website (http://www.scoobymania.co.uk) you can get the 18" wheels in March!! Might be worth checking!!!

<I>"OZ Superleggera 18" avail in March"</I>

Taken from the price list bit, rather than the main wheel page!

Hope this helps

Question

Andy B,

There was a delay as you all know with me getting my wheels, got them Today look wicked, BUT they guy came round with no bolts and said you supposed to use the original ones which I thought was strange, so we tried the bolts which us to hold up my original 15's on my MY97. No chance, I was not going to risk it, the bolts went in to far so I dare not use a socket to tighten them up and also looked as if the bolt did not have enough surround to hold the wheel on.

Andy which bolts did you use?? and which valve did you have fitted?? I went for a metal silver on, cost me a 10 quid and was fitted by the suppliers of the wheel.

Yes at the end I did go for the 17's with the Toyo's like you.

So back to the bolts, my wheels are looked up in the garage and I have to wait for after market bolts which will be with me on Saturday or Monday the latest.

So I'm not jumping with joy until I have them on.

Let me know about your bolts and valves??

TC

Nice one. Are these your first 17" wheels - if so, what's you're view on the car's handling now you've got more rubber on the road??

It feels more planted even though only done about 60 miles, also because the wheels are much lighter the unsprung weight is less and this is also noticable.

Very pleased for £800 + vat

Do the regular OEM bolts fit OK?

Mike,

They do fit but only just and look really crap, I also changed to McGard locking nuts as the standard ones were just becoming a pain to get off.

Has anyone had any problems with this being an ET48 wheel? eg. rear tyre rubbing, etc etc.?

Mike.

Andy B,

Thanks for your help with Carma, 3rd time lucky on Friday morning, I recieved the correct wheel nuts. Oh man! I was not sure if they would suit a black scooby, THEY LOOK WICKED M8! worth the wait. I was really impressed with the TOYO's as I was running PP S02's before.

I will have some digi pic's later, you might have to help me post them...1st timer.

I'll go get the pic's done.

here from you soon

No, there is to be only one colour. You could get a specialist to re colour them though.
