There hasnt been that many models.
UK turbo, UK Turbo Wagon, RB5, RB5 PPP, STi 1, STi 2, STi3, STi 4, STi 5, STi 6, STi 7, STi 8, STi 9, UK WRX Bugeye, UK WRX Blobeye, JDM WRX, JDM WRX RA, STi 3 Type R, STi4 Type R, STi5 Type R, STi6 Type R, STi 4 Type RA, STi 5 Type RA, STi 6 Type RA, P1, P1 WR, UK 22b, JDM 22b, WR1, Type 25. WRX Auto, WRX estate, UK WRX Estate, JDM STi 4 estate, JDM STi 5 estate 555 special edition, Terzo special edition, Catalunya special edition.

Those thare models I can think of

Evo's

Evo 1 GSR, Evo 2 GSR, Evo 3 GSR, Evo 3 RS, Evo 4 GSR, Evo 4 RS, Evo 5 GSR, Evo 5 RS, Evo 6 GSR, Evo 6 RS, Evo 6 RSX Evo 6 TME, Evo 6 Zero Fighter, Evo 7 GSR, FQ300, Evo 7 RS, Evo 8 GSR, Evo 8 RS, Evo 8 FQ300, Evo 8 FQ330, Evo 8 MR.

I make that roughly 41 varients of impreza Vs 20ish Evo's.

Plus the Evo's were considerably more restricted in terms of numbers for each model.

Exclamation Yellow Lamborgini Vs Yellow Ferrarri??

I was thinking of an EVO next, as I have friends who drive them and post on the MLR (From back when it was just Lancers and before the EVO's were invited). In fact I WAS looking for EVOs when I found my Modified Type R for sale - And liked it.

The Main reason 'I' will be getting another Scoob is cos im importing a 2.5 bottom end from the groupbuy. If I could get a 2.5 EVO with the same BHP possibilities I would reconsider again.

When I considered an EVO, I knew I would have to compromise between the increased running/servicng costs against the better chassis/ AYC Diff (mkes a bad driver better and a good driver Sterling Moss ) and the more torquey engine.

Im not a dedicated fan of either, I just enjoy driving better than everyone else and understrand that they are 'different' and cannot really be easily compared (if you have driven both you will know this!).

Can anyone explain why more scoobs have been sold than evos?

My Type R cost more than the EVO5 (According to June98 Performance Car Magazine, which ran an article comparing them.

The EVO won, by the way. , so no bias in my question.

But more Subarus were sold - Import for Import.

The reason there are more Scoobies than evos is quite simple.
There are generally more Wrx cars imported/sold to the UK than they make Evo's worldwide.
I think this year IM's target is 5000 scoobies for the UK.
They are only making 3,500 MR versions worldwide, of which we will get 500 in the UK and 1000 260bhp versions of the 8 to sell at £24,000

Subaru are a bit of a one horse car company and the thing keeping them afloat is the turbo impreza (so it is a good horse) so there figs for the turbo are much higher than Mitsi's
