Any ideas for a definitive route yet ? Is someone planning one ?
Too big a group to decide on the day me thinks, so we really need to plan something ahead of time. Any reason not to ? I doubt we'll be able to avoid police attention whether the route is general knowledge or not, so we'll need to work with the assumption that they'll be round every corner anyway. At least if we plan a route, everyone will know where they're going on the day and maybe we'll be cut some slack for being more open about it all. I wouldn't have thought anyone would be stupid enough to do any drag racing down Loch Lomond side anyway !?!?!? At least not on this day !

I was coming down from Oban last weekend and the amount of police traffic cars around/along the A82 on the sunday was eye opening. We without doubt need to be careful on this day. Saw alot of bikers going at warp speed, so they could've been out for them?

Meant to add - if the weather is good there will be alot of people on the roads as well.

 

Hey hey we were out on a load of kwakas that day and your right they are out to get the bikers. Be warned at least two plain cars and two plain bikes one is a blackbird with cameras so be warned. I am sure some scoobies would keep them happy if us bikers are behaving

 

been out round the b roads around here, a lot have just been resurfaced and weather is nice - shame about the midges insisting in becoming part of my bodywork - how can they no fly out the way?

no seen any polis around the rural area but they are cracking down around town, espeicially chavs and tinted window brigade.

so whats the meeting place for northe east coast folk - we gonna arrange a mini convoy through?

Coming from Fife so from the East (ahhh grasshopper!) thinking about coming along Stirling road.

Did you know that the La Carrera Caledonia will be out on those roads on that day. I think it is a classic rally so there should be some nice motors about.

This year,'s Classic run starts at Gretna Green, stay overnight at Inveraray in Argyll and finish at Aviemore. In between, we'll have a few runs up the old Rest and Be Thankful hillclimb with it's glorious hairpin bend into the finish and on Day 2, we'll have a run up the infamous corkscrew with it's numerous hairpin bends. Scotland's Stelvio. We'll use spectacular, little used roads of the type that used to make up the route of the Scottish Rally in the 1950's. Many of these roads never feature in events such as Le Jog and the Classic Malts, which are also much more expensive to take part in."

little used roads!!!!! wait til they see what will be waiting round the corner
coming thru stirling, just head towards balloch. once u hit balloch go straight over small roundabout, over bridge and you will come to a big roundabout. take 3rd exit (should be macd's on your left as you exit r/about). at next small r/about take 2nd exit and that is you into L.L.S. take the first right into overflow/ caravan carpark.
Clear as mud i hope!!!
