Hey BedHog, I am as impatient as the next man once I have made my mind up and given over the dosh. But..., SM did tell us it would be ~two weeks and it is now just two weeks. Perhaps you should give them a day or so grace before passing judgement?

Personally I have only ordered from them once in the past. They did **** up a little bit with the admin but were very friendly on the phone, sorted the mistake and got my goods to me immediately.

Right, my filter better be here tomorrow or _thats it!_

It will be three weeks tomorrow (Thursday 7th Apr) and then its Easter weekend so we got BH Friday/Monday...

Hi guys.

Firstly thanks to everybody for the custom and to Chris for arranging it.

The filters were ordered from Japan with part of a (much larger) routine stock order. This order was placed as soon as we had all the final figures and deposits in, (and some people were slightly late getting themselves sorted).

The order is placed and paid for with my suppliers in full and we are now simply waiting for the delivery to arrive. We ESTIMATED that it would take maybe 2 weeks and we're still not a million miles from that now.

Anybody who feels this service is so poor that they wouldn't buy from us again can withdraw from this purchase if they so wish and we will promptly refund their deposit. I won't even let it affect the cost of the item for other people waiting for their purchases.

Other than that, I expect them to be here imminantly. Even if they arrive tomorrow they will not be supplied this side of the bank holidays though.

If that inconveniences anybody, I can do nothing other than apologise.

IMO a bit of regular customer comforting when waiting on things goes a long way to keeping everybody happy. Doesnt matter that it is only to say you are still waiting, at least we are not twiddling our thumbs wondering where we are at and you will have further managed expectations. As I posted above it will be 3 weeks tomorrow and we were told two although I appreciate some people may have dragged their heals placing their order, and that 2 weeks was an "estimate".

There is only one negative post re SM out of 72 posts in the thread so dont feel offended! I am sure you can appreciate we are all just a little impatient because we're all big kids and want our new toys without delay!

Thanks Mike, an explanation is always nice.

That was what was originally said (10th March). I appreciate you said that it would be 2 weeks when the order was phoned in, but due to the ridiculous time period for 30+ people (1 hour) I wasn't around so my wife sorted it for me.

I would still have agreed anyway, cos I would have hated to let the others in the group buy down. That's just me.

So here we are - 3 1/2 weeks later and still no filter.

Maybe I've spent too much time in the States with there wonderful customer service.

I'll just be typically stoical and grin and bear it and try not to make any fuss and embarrass anyone.

Remember this is the only slight downside of a group buy

What if Mike had sent those 10 out and left the others waiting there would of been complaints. So Mike is going to send them out in one batch which is fair to everybody

I ordered mine direct paid the full price and got mine the next day [a week before the Group Buy]

I have e.mailed Japan every day this week but it hasn't made the filters land here yet. I apologise on behalf of Scooby Mania, it is not relevant as to who is causing the delay as it is us that the buck stops with.
