The top left corner looks pretty good!

I'll be there, with my pick and my shovel! and one of the finest flags ever to adorn a flag pole, oh and my STI8 Prodrive!

What is everyone doing about accomodation, any 5*hotels down that way or do we have to slum it.

I should be there!

Would it be possible for the dealer to do a minor service for me, and change my tyres (move winter tyres onto my wheels) too?

Cheers
Richard

Rich, would it not be easier to get them changed at a tyre place in Munchkinland? You don't really need a dealer to swap tyres over.

Oh No chance for me to get Friday off so I can't do it then .

Al: I don't trust any of the Scooby dealers in Munich to do a service, they're all ignorant muppets .

Looks like a trip to Friedrichshafen in the next few weeks to get Flo to do it is in order .

Richard

What was the ban for? If you've got your 12 points and been banned then your banned for the length of the ban and then you get a clean licence back even if its less than 3 years for some of the points!

I'm not sure what the situation is with driving here when banned in the UK. A friend of mine got cought doing 100mph+ and got a court summons. He argued that he needed to drive for his work in Germany. They banned him for 2 months but said the ban wouldn't be effective outside the UK, but they still took his license off him! Not sure if this was a special exemption for him or if normally a UK ban is in effect a global ban!

Maybe worth giving DVLA a call to check it out!

As for the German police, I've been stopped without my license before and they just gave me a producer!

Al.

Might be able to come down after-all. Not working and convinced the Mrs we need a PX trip and it would be stupid not to carry on a bit further south and stay the night for a bit of a 'holiday' (Haven't yet told her what exactly we, .....no, I will be goggling at!)

can we still camp in tents ?? I had planned on coming down on sat, putting up the tent, then we have a place to sit later in the day, and the girlfriends can then ammuse themselves there and not annoy us...
