Question

Are you guys talking about fitted these Eibachs uprated springs on standard shockers?
Might be a different league, but I fitted uprated/lowered Pi springs to my VR6 with standard shocks and it made the ride truly dangerous! Very bumpy and not stiff enough.

Is this the case with these springs, or are they not shorter springs?

John,

Yes, although apparently the Eibachs work best with the shocks on later MY's, 99/00. On my '00, they seem to be working really well, in fact the ride is smoother!

I think that with the standard springs the weight of the car compresses the spring too much, past that initial softness that you get on a coil spring.

Take a look at my other post:-

Have done a few more miles on familiar roads now, same comments still apply.

Very happy indeed with this mod.

Cheers

Cool

Mikey,

I should be at the Herts meet on the 16th, take you for a spin if you like - if you still need convincing about Eibachs!

Cheers
Tim
